I was really hoping that the thing that was going to jump out at Coraline in the empty flat was going to be cat. I found the other father really sad though. It broke my heart a little. I also find it interesting how scared and weak cat got when he found out that he couldn't come and go as he pleased. It was so cat like.

I think we're just coming to the "scarey" part now, but chapters nine and ten were scarey enough for me D:

The other mother is no joke. I felt bad for the other father because he was just used and tossed aside... I always feel bad for characters like that.

I was a little surprised that Coraline went to through the door the other mother gave her the key to. For as smart and level-headed as Coraline is, it was odd she would go to the door even though she knew it was a trick.

And poor cat... So sassy and then when he says there's no way to go back and forth from the real world and the other world, he goes to limp helpless cat. That vulnerability was sweet to see.
