Is Gabriel really dying?

Kristy Hunter Poor poor Gabriel. He was driven mad by the death of his brother and his overbearing parents.

Now I question what is real and what isn't. And I am not quite sure if he really is dying or if his physical illness is just a manifestation of his broken mind.

Does anyone know what is the truth?
