I really enjoyed Wicked: Witch & Curse If you are into witches. If you are interested in psychics, the first book in the Clear Angel chronicles, Elements of a Broken Mind just came out in June.

Nope, hadn't even heard of it. Off to look it up now, though! I do have a thing for angels!!

Angelfall was pretty good, it's a combo paranormal and dystopian :)

If you're into shorter novels, sweep by Cate Tiernan, or a series starting with hawksong, by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes.

Ooh, I love Ilona Andrews' Kate Daniels series -- it's basically about magic and the hero is a lion shifter...yum! Other shifters and paranormal beings appear, but are usually secondary characters.

I'll second David's recommendation of . was also pretty good, haven't read the rest though. I LOVED and, yes, it's about vampires, but seriously, every vampire book out there is NOTHING compared to this awesomeness!! has no vampires or werewolves in it. <--- Awesome, seriously awesome, enough said :) has witches in it, and a female main character. And and are pretty good, too :)

I think you would like It's nothing like "Twilight", also I know will probably like "Vampire Academy" series too! Happy Reading! :) Let me know what you think after you read either of them :)

I know the series is pretty old but the mediator series by Meg Cabot is good

I'd recommend Richelle Mead's Succubus series. There are vampires but not as main characters.

I've only read the sample and full disclosure I've friended the author on Goodreads but it was good. He's also having a giveaway to reviewers which is how I found out about this group.

I really liked . It's only a trilogy, but it was a really good book. I haven't read the other 2 yet, but I've only heard good things. The other series that is pretty cool is The Black Dagger Brotherhood series. That's a bit more adult and intense, but they are really good. I've read half of them and like them all so far.

I'm just like you, love paranormal but not so much vampires and werewolves... Mortal Instuments is my absolute favorite, if you haven't read the prequel series Infernal Devices it's a must read. However, Hush, Hush is awesome, so is Covenant (Half Blood is first book in the series, it's got a great female protagonist, those are the first I can think of.

I've heard that Angelfall was really good, I'm going to have to give that one a try.
