Celeste Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy, #1) by Richelle Mead

Vampire Academy By Richelle Mead

This is the first book of the series, And to follow this book are five more, and a spin off series. I finishes all six books in 6 days....LOLZ. Read this book soon if you haven't yet, because the movie is soon going to be set into motion and you will be disappointed you didn't get to know about the character before you watch the movie. (The movies release date is February 14, 2014, So read them!)

I love Vampire Academy! My most favorite obsession would be The Mortal Instrument books. If you haven't read them then.... READ THEM. Next would be The Infernal Devices <3. And Divergent is pretty awesome along with The Host (minus the first 100 pages) and Vampire Academy. I really liked The Selection and The Darkest Minds. I think that I am too easily entertained and obsessed with books...

message 5: by Celeste (last edited Jul 05, 2013 08:20PM) (new)

Celeste Obsessed with books, and fictional character, instead of boys like I should be..

The mortal instruments, cus who doesn't want to touch Jace's mango. (City of fallen angels reference)

Although i just started the Infernal devices, I am in love With the book, completely.

Been meaning to read divergent soon, after the infernal devices. Also love the host, but the movie kinda killed it for me thought. Loved the book thought.

I hated the movie. Some of those lines were really stupid and poorly scripted. Jeb:"Where's Wanda going to stay now?" Ian:"She can stay at my place." *said in total seriousness* me:*buries head in hands* or how about Wanda saying something like "Kiss me! I lost Mel, kiss me!" And Jared's stupid expression and equally stupid response: "ok." And there was A LOT of kissing. I'm not a prude or anything but still I found their kiss scenes to be kind of gross and uncomfortable and way too plentiful. And Pet's face scared me so much I actually screamed in the movie theater when the mirror lowered to her face. The VoiceOver of Mel was annoying. I did like the scenery/setting and Saorise and the seeker tho.

message 7: by Celeste (new)

Celeste *Finally finds a person that understands.*
Thank you! Your the first person that understands that the movie just was made badly.

And Am I the only one that thinks she should have written more about wanderer and the other planets she had been to, and will go to.

message 36: by julia (new)

julia (julianevergrowup) @Shiny: I didn't like Mockingjay that much either... It was ok but no where near as good as the fist one or even the second.

message 37: by SHINY (new)

SHINY | 81 comments @Julia, I keep trying to read Mocking Jay but every time I pick it up, it's always impossible for me to finish because it bores me from the beginning.

message 38: by Rachel , The Attentive One (new)

Rachel (APCB Reviews) (gr8rach) | 8842 comments Mod
I felt that Mockingjay was too rushed, like Collins said "Oh look at the page number! I should hurry up and conclude this thing..."

message 39: by SHINY (new)

SHINY | 81 comments So do you guys think I should give Mocking Jay a 5th Chance?

message 40: by Rachel , The Attentive One (new)

Rachel (APCB Reviews) (gr8rach) | 8842 comments Mod
You never finished?

message 41: by SHINY (new)

SHINY | 81 comments Nope, It was really hard to get into the book.

message 42: by julia (new)

julia (julianevergrowup) @Shiny: I think you should give it another chance. Some things that happen in the book are actually really interesting. When you tried to read the book before how far did you get?

message 43: by SHINY (new)

SHINY | 81 comments @Julia, the farthest I went was up to page 70.

message 44: by julia (new)

julia (julianevergrowup) @Shiny: Do you know how the book ends?

message 45: by SHINY (last edited Sep 07, 2013 06:49PM) (new)

SHINY | 81 comments @Julia, Yeah, My friends told me the main details already.

message 46: by julia (new)

julia (julianevergrowup) @Shiny: Even though you know what happens you could still try reading it one more time. But if you really can't get into the book then just give up.

message 47: by SHINY (new)

SHINY | 81 comments @Julia, Thanks for the advice. I kinda have to finish reading it eventually because I made a 2 way promise to a friend. It's just a matter of when I will read it.

message 48: by julia (new)

julia (julianevergrowup) @Shiny: You're welcome! I made a promise like that last November. I had to read City of Bones.

message 49: by SHINY (new)

SHINY | 81 comments @Julia, LOL! That's funny because that was the book that my friend promised me that they would read in return. :)

message 50: by julia (new)

julia (julianevergrowup) @Shiny: Haha really?! That's so cool! :) My friend had to read The Lightning Thief.
