Knight Before Dawn by Kristi Cramer
My first Romantic Suspense novel is Knight Before Dawn:

When kidnap victim Cassandra Reyes meets Alaskan bush pilot Nicolas Knight, she doesn't know if she should trust him, or run like hell.

Cassandra Reyes wakes up in a hotel in Juneau, Alaska, with no notion of where she is or why. Cassie recalls only vague flashes of the events that landed her a thousand miles from her Seattle Office, but what she does remember leads her to the realization that she was kidnapped by mistake. When she meets bush pilot Nicolas Knight, she doesn’t know if he truly is just a compassionate stranger, or if he was somehow involved in her abduction.

Nick Knight is baffled by the beautiful woman he encounters in Juneau. Although he finds her hauntingly vulnerable, he is also struck by her remarkable strength, and when he learns Cassie’s story, he decides to help her. Cassie convinces Nick that if her abductors aren’t stopped, they will keep looking for their intended target. Together, Cassie and Nick find themselves risking their lives to protect a stranger from being kidnapped… or worse

Blinding Justice by Kristi Cramer
My second Suspense novel, Blinding Justice, has a dash of Romance.

Detective Mitzi Reardon doesn’t know what she did to anger her boss, but he is gunning for her. Literally. Now a prostitute is dead, and she is the prime suspect with the law hot on her heels. With nowhere to run and no one to trust, Mitzi’s only hope lies in the hands of a sexy stranger.

Blue Thomas is a stranger in Denver. The bright lights and big city bustle are 250 miles and a world away from his family’s cattle ranch in Kansas, and he is out of his element. He came to find work and save the ranch from foreclosure, but on a rainy night a desperate woman finds him. Back home, he would never let anyone—especially a woman—face danger alone. Without fully understanding what he is in for, Blue pledges his help, whether she wants it or not.

As a trap closes around them, Mitzi must abandon her usual strategy of careful planning and situation management, instead relying on quick thinking and a bold, head-on approach that may just get her—and Blue—killed. Before the last bullet flies, Blue will find out just how far he is willing to go to live up to his old-school ideals of gallant chivalry

Sanjay Sanghoee (sanghoee) | 1 comments Hi all, I have just joined this group and am excited to be part of the discussion! By way of introduction, I am a banker who prefers instead to write fiction novels... My first book MERGER was published by St. Martin's Press in 2003.

I have just released a new novel, KILLING WALL STREET, which is a thriller about a working-class single mom who seeks vigilante justice against corporate greed! Basically a female DEXTER for greedy CEOs and bankers...

KILLING WALL STREET received a strong review from the Occupy Wall Street movement:

The Musician & the Alien

This is a humorous sci-fi short I wrote with my sister. Check it out.

What do Aliens, Musicians, Intergalactic Moles, and Zombies all have in common? The Blues, that's what!

When Marty, front man for blues sensation Marty Pepper and the Shakers, gets the feeling that a fan is stalking him, it turns out he's right! But Zacha is not just any fan. She's a Densitran thief, capturing the Soul right out of Marty's music.

When Marty confronts Zacha at the kickoff of his big tour, he has no idea that the chain of events she set in motion will change his life forever.

To complicate matters, Intergalactic Moles show up to arrest Zacha, and Marty has an unwelcome brush with the undead. Marty finds himself wishing on a star for the life he used to know

Danielle (danielleleneedavis) | 30 comments My work-in-progress, The Protector, a novel I expect to release this winter, features Detective Sydney Valentine as the main character.

The Protector is about a series of homicides with a sinister connection to Child Protective Services. Someone is killing people and leaving Scrabble letters inside a Ziploc bag shoved inside the victims’ mouths.

Detective Valentine is a contemporary cop with a bit of an edge. She’s tough and potty-mouthed, but has a soft spot for her family and animals, especially dogs. Sydney’s motivation is to see justice served. If someone’s walking on the wrong side of the law, they’d better stay out of her way.

Laura Oliva (lauraolivabooks) | 2 comments Hey folks! I'd like to introduce my newest book, The Devil's Playground

The Devil's Playground (The Devil's Playthings, #1) by Laura Oliva

When burlesque dancer Francesca "Frankie" Strong's best friend is brutally attacked, it's clear the police aren't going to be much help. Determined not to let the case fall through the cracks, Frankie turns to fellow performer -and undercover cop- Johnny Marsden for help.

His career on the rocks, Johnny hopes Frankie will be his ticket back to the top. Because while her only interest is in protecting her friend, Johnny suspects the attack was part of something larger, something darker... and he's right.

The Devil's Playground is Book 1 of my new romantic suspense series, The Devil's Playthings. Stay tuned for Book 2, The Devil's Kitchen, out this summer!

Wow, Laura, The Devil's Playground sounds intriguing, and a rather unusual cast of characters. I will surely add it to my to read list.

And double wow, Cristin Harber, I guess I missed your post about Winters Heat because I do too much of this on my phone. :-( This looks like a winner, too. Thanks for sharing, ladies!

Marta Tandori (marta_tandori) | 7 comments CONTINUANCE - FEBRUARY 14, 2014 - LAST DAY FREE

Hi Everyone - Today is the last day my book, CONTINUANCE, is free. Give yourself a Valentine's Day read and download it for free. It's got a bit of romance, it's got LOTS of history and a nice "whodunnit" all rolled into one. The book alternates between dual time periods - 1905 New York City and present day - and is two separate stories connected by the century-old remains discovered in a pirate's tunnel in modern-day Savannah during an FBI search for a kidnapped seven-year-old child. If you liked the alternating time periods in Tess Gerritsen's THE BONE GARDEN, you'll like CONTINUANCE.

Danielle (danielleleneedavis) | 30 comments The Protector is 50% off on Smashwords. That's $2.00.

https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...

A brutal killer with a sinister connection to Child Protective Services is prowling the streets in Detective Sydney Valentine’s jurisdiction.

The body of a social worker is found on the stairway inside the building where she works. A mouthful of Scrabble letters tells Detective Valentine that this is not a random killing.

And it’s not.

Valentine knows more letters are needed to piece together the puzzle, but that means more people will have to die. She has to stop the murderous rampage and save her city’s residents.

A dead juvenile court judge, a single mother – the body count climbs.

Detective Valentine becomes a target and the stakes rise. A member of her family is attacked and she realizes she needs to step it up before it’s too late. Valentine’s courage and investigative skills are tested more than they've ever been. She must protect her family and take down the killer or more people will die.

The Protector is a fast-paced novel of mystery and suspense. It will grip you from the very beginning, so hold on tight and leap into the dangerous world of Detective Sydney Valentine. It’s the world of a sassy, contemporary cop with an edge and an attitude. She’s tough and potty-mouthed and wants to see justice served—no matter what.

Sydney Valentine is the friend you wish you had. She’s the cop you’d be wise to fear if you’re walking on the wrong side of the law.

H.d. Terech | 29 comments Yes, It's "Read an Ebook Week" at Smashwords this week.

I made my two novellas free: Fatal Reunion and Fatal Betrayal. The third installment, Fatal Occupation, from the Sarah Richland series should be out this month!

Check out the link to mine:

Or go to smashwords.com for lots of other great deals on books. It's only a week, so my guess is that Amazon will not price match.

by Joe Cosentino

You can also give it a rating and post a comment online!

Jana Lane was America’s most famous child star until she was attacked on the studio lot at eighteen years old. Now a thirty-eight-year-old beauty and mother of two living in a mansion in picturesque Hudson Valley, New York, Jana’s flashbacks from her past turn into murder attempts in her present.
The local suspects include Jana’s down-on-his-luck husband with a dislike for living off the fruits of his wife’s young labor, Jana’s sister and male friend (who both have eyes for Jana’s husband), Jana’s show business father, her deranged loyal fan, and Jana's young Guy Friday who covets her fame and shares an uncanny resemblance to Jana.
Forced to summon up the lost courage she had as a child, Jana visits the California movie studio she once called home. This sends her on a whirlwind of visits with former and current movie studio personnel. It also leads to a romance with the son of her old producer—Rocco Cavoto—the devilishly handsome filmmaker who is planning Jana’s comeback both professionally and personally. With Rocco’s help, Jana uncovers a web of secrets about everyone she loves, including the person who destroyed her past and threatens to snuff out her future.

“Joe Cosentino has utilized his keen knowledge of show business through shrewd celluloid eyes with tight twists, wicked turns, and one stunning surprise after another!”
̶ Jeff Walt, author of “Hex”

“Paper Doll is a delicious concoction of suspense and nostalgia with all the trash of the tabloids and all the style of classic film noir. Romance, glamour, lust, and murder, make a page turning mystery. I can’t wait for the sequel; I can’t wait for the movie!”
̶ Gerald Fierst, storyteller and author of “The Heart of the Wedding”

Joe Cosentino has appeared in principal acting roles in film, television, and theatre, opposite stars such as Bruce Willis, Rosie O’Donnell, Nathan Lane, Holland Taylor, and Jason Robards. He has written and directed many musical plays for family audiences (toured through Encore Performing Arts of NY, and one published through Eldridge Plays and Musicals). His one-act plays, Infatuation and Neighbor were performed in New York City. Another one-act, Swing, was performed by Stageworks of NY and published in the Marquee Literary Journal. He wrote The Perils of Pauline, available on CDROM (through Prentice Hall Publishers). Joe received his MFA from Goddard College in Vermont, and MA from SUNY New Paltz. He is currently Head of the Department/Professor at a college in upstate New York. His upcoming novels include An Infatuation, Drama Queen, and Nick the Nerd (for children).
