David Merrill | 14 comments After reading Anne R. Dick's bio of PKD, I remembered I had a whole
stack of other PKD related books I hadn't read yet, but had no idea where I put them. I finally found them. Included in the stack was the first half of Tessa Dick's attempt to write The Owl In Daylight, PKD's barely started last novel. I think there weren't even any notes on it, just conversations about it. I'd always intended buying the full book when it came out, but totally forgot about it. Boy was that ever a mistake. The cheapest copy I see on line now is just over $200. Has anyone here read it or own it?

Hertzan Chimera (hertzanchimera) | 225 comments there's a very good description of the 'luggage of the book' in the FINAL CONVERSATIONS OF PHILIP K DICK (what if our world is their heaven).

I can imagine nothing worse than a literal i.e. Hollywoodised, version of the concepts of that Owl in Daylight story. It'd be proper awful, like most things the Dream Machine attempts to make.
