How to prevent books from insects (silverfish, unknown), and from turning yellow?

Hey there!
You just need to keep your books away from dampness, wetness.Away from damp wall, avoid spilled drinks on books.
Also, keep books properly, don't fill the bookshelves too full. Allow some air circulation.

Same -- keep them dry and move them around from time to time (so that covers don't stick to each other). I actually like books when they have a little yellowness and wear & tear... it lets me know that those books are actually being handled and not just for show.
