yes... WHY DO THE TEACHERS TORCHURE YOU BY TEACHING U IT!!!
I think Jess meant this to be an area for people who were having math trouble for homework.
thanks Bells, that' exactly what I meant.
Well, I think they teach you math for the simple sake of logic. To teach you how to be logical and stuff, like chess, only more boring.Anyone here know Algebra II?
Would you be able to help me with..."A plane flying at 33,000 ft. is 130 miles from the airport begins to descend. If the angle of descent is constant, find this angle."
It's a right triangle, the 33,000 is on the adjacent side, and the 130 miles is on the opposite side...
I just don't know how to figure out which formula to use at all... It's either the cosign, tangent, or... the one I forget... sin!
Good work, but I don't think that's the right answer. In algebra 1, it may be, but the unit I'm doing in algebra 2 requires some annoying trigonometry stuff, and I really don't know how to tell which formula to use to get my answer.Still, thanks so, so very much for trying to help! Really, I appreciate it.
It's pretty much that, only the hypotenuse is longer, but that doesn't really matter. Erm... here.../ Between the dotted line and the tip of the triangle is the angle is a little angle called 'theta' that's the unknown angle.

the only thing I really remember is:
```/|
a`/`|b
`/__|
c
a = hypotenus
b = leg
c = leg
(sin)
a = 2x
b = 2√3
c = ?
okay, well can someone help me? It's 10-6 on Tech. Geometry. We have to find the value of x using tan(the tiny in the air "-1"), then the number. The triangles legs are 4 and 5, the hypotenus is the x. I'm having trouble because I thought you did 4/5, then divide, then put it in that formula. But the back of the book says it's 6.4 when rounded to the nearest tenth.
So everyone knows I got on PM and helped her, so she has it finished.
i hate math so much in my life i even never get 6 when i was in high school..thats why i choose to be an English teacher...
I love math!! >^.^<I finished Geometry last year, as a sophomore, and now in Advance Algebra. And last night my friend, whom is a freshman in college and is taking pre Calc, asked me to help him with a problem...I think he thinks highly of me now because I got it right...! ^//^
When i look at a math problem my brain turns to mush.
