Should vaccinations be compulsory?

Vaccinations should be compulsory I know they can be very expensive, but they seriously lower the chances of someone getting a disease, they often prevent it. The reason they should be compulsory is that the ones that lower the chance of someone getting it, are not effective when not everyone has had it. But if everyone does, then people will not get the disease. So all should have it, do what the U.K does and pay for them by taxes, that way everyone will benefit.
I think they should. I remember before 7th grade a few years ago, we had a required vaccine we needed to get. I was fine with it.It baffles me that parents refuse to give kids vaccines nowadays....when vaccines were first created, people literally waited in huge lines waiting for them. Parents think that certain diseases aren't relevant anymore....but thats because so many people have the vaccine. Everybody should be required to get them for major diseases.
I think vaccines should be encouraged, but optional. All vaccines have risk, and some parents dont want to risk it. Also, some people dont have the money for them. To them, they'd rather use the money for food rather than vaccines (although I cant say much, I live in Canada where medical costs are usually free). I had to get shots in grade 7 and all the girls had to get shots in grade 8. I wouldnt objectify it, but I dont think it should be mandatory.
they shouldn't be compulsory. Vaccines don't always work, and sometimes make it where you actually get the virus you're being vaccinated for.

yeah, I'm not saying they don't work. I've just known people who have gotten real sick from taking vaccines.

What kind of terrible people refuse to get their kids vaccinated?
