A large room much better equipped to handle an emergency situation than the Doctor's Office, the infirmary is just what one would expect from an asylum: stark, white, and huge. About two dozen hospital beds can be found in the room, each in its own little "chamber" which contains a small table, a lamp, and a chair for bedside visiting, not to mention curtains on either side that provide privacy for the occupying patients. Connected to this large room is a smaller but nonetheless spacious supply room, which contains so many medical instruments that it's almost daunting (it is, of course, only accessible via a doctor's keycard.) Absolutely everything an asylum doctor might need can be found in said room, from sedatives to spare medical instruments. Visiting patients are allowed into the infirmary only with a nurse's permission, and may not remain with an ill patient unless staff personnel are standing by (though the curtains around a bed may be drawn for privacy if requested.)

Roleplay here.

It hadn't taken long for word of Raven's mishap to spread through the asylum. Even then, it had been hours later that Rosemarie found out about what happened to her sadist. She had been in the basement, actually thinking about seeing Raven when she had heard two patients talking excitedly about what had happened to Raven. They said it had been a shame the nurse decided to save Raven. That had resulted in a throwing of a knife in the direction of the patients and then Rosemarie was gone, gone to the infirmary. What a pain it had been to even get in. She had been told that Raven was in no condition to have any visitors, which the former Huntress had called bullshit on. Eventually with a long time of arguing, they had let Rosemarie through a small room with a curtain wrapped around it. That was where she was now, curtain still closed, sitting in the chair beside Raven's bed. A hand was was placed on the sadist's arm, her thumb caressing his arm. "Raven?" She asked quietly, unsure if he was unconscious or just dozing. She sat there, waiting for a response.

A voice cut through the fog that had enveloped Raven's mind (the result of many, many injections to counter the effects of aspirin poisoning and many, many pills to try and decrease his appetite since he couldn't hold a single thing down anymore.) It was a hazy, far-away voice, floating down to him as if from the top of a very deep well he just so happened to have fallen into. The Indian stirred, and a little moan escaped him as he opened his eyes only to find himself blinded by the soft but nonetheless painful light of the lamp beside his bed. "Rosemarie?" His voice was groggy, his gaze unfocused as he tried to make her blurry form become more clear. "That you? What happened? What's going on?"

"Yeah, it's me." Her voice came out low and quiet. She had been warned that Raven was in a lot of pain and even normal sounds would be amplified to him. Her hand tightened lightly on her arm, her hand soothingly caressing still. "Well, the nurse isn't exactly telling me what happened. He doesn't even want me in here." She moved to brush hair off of his face, then cupped his cheek with the hand that was earlier caressing his arm. "I actually didn't even know you were in here until I heard some patients gossiping about you." Her expression turned sour and her eyes flashed angrily. She made sure that the hand on his cheek didn't tighten, though. "Apparently somebody poisoned the coffee you drank this morning. Aspirin. That gothic nurse, Drake I think his name is, gave you a syrup that make people throw up, and he got the poison out of your system."

Raven raised a hand and rubbed a hand hard across his eyes, trying to be rid of the bright white spots that had encroached upon his vision once he'd opened his eyes. He sighed. "Well, if these fancy-ass city doctors are so good at treating things, how come I haven't been able to lift my head off this stupid pillow without having to puke afterwards?" He sounded duly miserable, but the slightest bit of anger had entered his voice as well. His head pounded, his ears rang, and he felt fainter than a acrophobic on top of a radio tower--the last thing he needed was a good mocking from every single patient who heard of his current state.

Rosemarie sighed and rolled her eyes, hoping Raven couldn't see. She was honestly kind of pleased that Raven's smart mouth had returned. "Because, thanks to the 'city-doctors' there was a choice between death and the aftermath symptoms of the poison." Her fist clenched with slight irritation, but she put a small smile in place. "If you ask me, I much rather prefer the latter. Though, there are several people who would disagree with me. You're lucky, actually. You were talking to probably the only nurse around here who would have actually helped you right before you blacked out." She moved forward slightly in her chair to get closer to him, for closer inspection. "Other than that, do you think you're feeling better?"

"Nope. Actually, I'm pretty pissed off." He'd spent several hours in this hospital bed, after all, with nothing to do except for stew and his misery and think--the later choice had been quite preferred over the former, and so thought he had. And all it had done was make him angry. "Aspirin poisoning," he told Rosemarie. Now that he was more fully awake, his voice was firmer--though he still looked distracted and out of touch with reality. "Somebody actually had the nerve to poison my coffee. And I haven't done anything for the past three hours except vomit, sleep, and feel absolutely miserable while I'm actually awake--so I've done a lot of wondering about who could have done it. As a distraction, you know. It actually makes me pretty mad, which apparently"--he shot an annoyed glance at the band around his arm, which was taking constant readings of his blood pressure--"is really bad for my blood pressure, as that nurse no doubt will lecture you, as he has me more than a dozen times. So no, actually. I would say that I am not doing better. Not at all."

Rosemarie glanced at the band around his arm. She was picking up on his irritation, an she honestly couldn't say she blame him. She was pissed off as well, though she didn't want to let him know that just yet. For now, she would focus on Raven and trying to make him feel slightly better if she could. "Okay, I understand that. Though I wanna say again, I much rather enjoy you vomiting and in immense pain than dead because of some stupid idiot." She scowled, her eyebrows knitting together and her jaw clenching in anger. "Now that you've had your time to be pissy and think, who would you say would have the nerve to poison you to begin with? Maybe the person who served you coffee?" Although she herself found herself angry, she still tried to soothe him maybe a little still with her caressing hand on his cheek. Whether it was true about his blood pressure or not, Rosemarie would have liked if his health stay as good as it could under the circumstances.

Raven shook his head as best he could lying down. "No, I ruled them out a while ago. The lunch ladies don't know me from a hole in the ground, and even if they did, I doubt they would care enough to deliberately poison me. You've seen how apathetic they are." The hand of his cheek was immensely appreciated (mostly because he was hot as could be under the blankets and was probably running a low fever) though of course Raven would never admit that. All the same, a small smile lifted at his lips when he took note of the growing rage in the former-Huntress's own eyes. She was so adorable when she got protective of him. "The nurses are all no's too," he added. "Just so you know. They'd all be too scared of what would happen when I felt better to even think about poisoning me, let alone going through with it. That leaves the patients, but I'm almost as blank with them as I am with the staff. I've got knives up under almost everybody's chin, for lack of a better metaphor. Most of the people who hate me know I'll do something horrible to their friends and/or loved ones if they even think about trying anything funny."

"Hmm." Rosemarie's lips pursed in thought. At least she knew that there were only a few patients who truly hated Raven. Not everyone was very fond of Raven, she knew, but there were only a few people that could truly hate Raven. "Okay, well, you have to think." Her fingers gently locked through his longer growing black hair, gently massaging his skull with her fingers and his temple with her thumb. "I'm sure this is going to be a very tedious chore for you." Her voice was laced with amusement, though her eyes were still hard and sparked with fury if whoever had dared harmed her sadist. "Think of the people you've tortured most recently. That would probably be the people who are most angry with you. Either that, or someone who was a friend of theirs or a loved one that's also in this asylum."

Raven actually managed a smirk. It was small and short-lived (quickly replaced by a grimace of pain) but it had been there, and that was something. "Relatives and friends first," he said. "There's Cat and Silas, but I haven't touched either of them--their situation is...awfully rocky, if you know what I mean. I have no desire to get into it." He paused, looked thoughtful. "There's Cleo, as always, but like I said, she's too worried about her sorry hide--and also Jason's--to even consider this sort of thing. And vice versa." He of course neglected to mention exactly what had happened to Cleo earlier that week; there was a nurse just outside, after all. "Then there's Felix, but he's been too worried about his poor shadow girl to worry about me lately." The thoughtfulness passed, replaced by confusion. Raven had come straight up to a mental wall. Damn medicine. "Who does that leave, then? I can't think around the stupid drugs."

The pained look on his face was not missed by the watchful eyes of the former Huntress and when it did flash across his face, her grip on his tightened ever so slightly before returning to the soothing caresses on his face. "Honey, I don't know. I can't keep track of all the people you've harassed." She did think, though. She thought pretty hard, too. Had she seen any patients around with injuries lately? She wasn't sure, she was drawing a blank just like Raven was. "What about Roxie, or one of the Whip Twins?" She asked hopefully, though something told her that it wasn't either of the people mentioned. She hasn't even seen Roxie around, and the Whip Twins would be quite a hassle for the sadist.

And suddenly everything clicked. Raven shot bolt upright in the bed, managing to stay there long enough to shoot Rosemarie a triumphant smile (which didn't last nearly as long as his smirk) before a rolling wave of nausea overtook him and he collapsed back down with a soft moan. "Spirits," he muttered, pressing a hand to his now-spinning head. "Remind me never to do that again." He waited several moments, until the bile he tasted in the back of his throat was swallowed down, and then looked back at the former-Hunter. "Akantha," he told her. "It was Akantha fucking Anderson. There's no other person it could possibly have been." As soon as he said the words, the Indian knew he was right. It had been Akantha. And for her sake, he hoped she was awfully good at pleading for mercy.

"You need to just sit back for a little while," Rosemarie told him sternly, fixing him with a look that was probably more intense than it needed to be with her eyes still bright with anger. That anger only intensified when Raven finally figured out who it was that attacked him. Akantha Anderson? Rosemarie knew of her. She was the little thing that the former Huntress could have sworn painted on her clothes rather than just wearing them. She thought she owned the asylum, and was glad to tell anyone and everyone about it. She was known for having an attitude and big mouth. Under any other circumstances, Rosemarie would have loved to know why Raven had anything to do with the skank to begin with. Now there were more important things to worry about. "You're sure it was her, Raven?" She asked with a raised eyebrow, continuing to stroke the hair that had fallen out of his classic ponytail. "What did you do to her to even make her think of something like that?"

"Oh, nothing serious." A wolfish smile claimed his expression, looking scarily out of place coupled with the pallor to his usually tan skin, stretched taunt over his bones. Of course, this sort of injury didn't make his savage side (part of him relished the pun) go away, it simply...humbled it. Thus his expression now. "Broke her arm, gave her a couple good scars. Nothing the sorry cow hasn't seen before, am I right?" A startling amount of anger had become evident in Raven's voice; his hands clenched into tight fists at his sides and the monitor outside the room began to emit a shrill, persistent beeping. Despite this, he made absolutely no effort to calm down. "So she decided to give me a little overdose of aspirin. Well, it worked like a goddamn charm."

The anger that Raven was feeling had been building up inside of the little redhead since she entered the room and saw him in the condition he was in. "You're telling me," she began in an angry whisper. "That that hoity toity stuck up bitch-" the last word was filled with angry venom. "-Is the one who came up with the idea to poison you? She doesn't have the brains to come up with an idea like that! Nor does she have the nerve. She's all talk, from what I've seen." But if Akantha really was the reason why her Indian was sitting in the hospital bed, looking like death warmed over, then it would seem that the young girl had been a little bit more than just talk for once. It was a shame she had decided to take some action out on the wrong patient. What hand wasn't on Raven's face clenched into an angry fist, her eyes even more bright than ever. They burned, yet still kept their icy cold look at the same time. In all honesty, she looked ready to go and snap someone's neck.

When he saw this, Raven's grin only widened. Her reached up with one hand and trailed the tips of his fingers gently down Rosemarie's cheek. "Shhhh, my little inadá. Not so loud. You'll alert the doctor." His voice, which had gone from an enraged hiss to a silky purr in a matter of seconds, went from low to downright soft at the new nickname: snake. Very fitting, considering Rosemarie's current expression. The cold anger of a reptile was evident in her eyes, her posture, the way her lips moved when she spoke. Yes, he thought, if the ex-Hunter didn't mind him calling her a snake, perhaps he'd add it as an actual nickname. It fit too well to just disregard. "And she didn't think it up all on her own," the Indian said. "I know she didn't. That little whore doesn't have the brains the Great Spirit gave an ant. Someone tipped her off. I don't know who, but I do know why: and when I find out who, he or she is going to wish they'd never gotten themselves stuck in this horrible place."

['little whore' I love Raven.]
She quieted, but regrettably, because he'd asked her to and she wanted to calm him down as best she could, even if that meant doing anything and everything to make him pleased. Her hand caught the trailing down her cheek, leaning into it slightly as she had done before, many months ago in the basement when she had tried to get into his head. "What does that mean?" She asked gently, changing the subject for the time being. Though, of course, the subject would return to their conversation in time. In short time, too. "You know I can't understand you when you speak that gibberish." As she said this, she smiled slightly, figuring that comparing his traditional language to gibberish would slightly irritate him.

((Me too.))

"I told you, it's not gibberish. It's wonderful. And Cherokee. Which makes it all the better." A good-natured smile replaced the wolfish one--for the time being, the fiery redhead had succeeded in distract him from his anger. "Anyway, inadá is the Cherokee word for snake. I think it fits." The Indian gave her an appraising, amused look. "You just look a lot like an unforgiving fanged reptile at the moment. If you weren't so hooked on men, I think the snake might actually be your patron animal." He chuckled at this tease: he couldn't let Rosemarie have all the fun, could he? Even when he was as ill and miserable as he was now, Raven just couldn't pass up the opportunity to take a dig at his friend. He was sure she would afford him the same courtesy.

Rosemarie frowned at him, eyes slitting ever so slightly at his tease. "First of all, I am not hooked on men. I really hope that you really don't think that." She grasped the hand holding her face, kissed the palm firmly, and set it down over his abdomen again, interlocking their fingers when they settled there. "You think I'm reptilian?" She made a face at him, though she couldn't help but feel happy that he was finally acting a little bit more like himself. It might have just been her imagination, but she could have sworn that he looked better, less pale than before. "I don't think that's exactly a compliment."

"It is when it's coming from me," Raven replied. He chuckled at her. "Especially when it's coming from me. Keep in mind, Rosie, that I had the entire Cherokee language at my disposal. I could have called you a miserable little wrench instead--but I didn't." He reached up pulled her hand down so that he could press a kiss to the back of it, amused. "Besides, I think snakes are pretty freaking awesome. Especially when they're angry enough to be badass. You should take that as a compliment."

[Oops! XD]

The former Huntress grinned at him, her eyes watching him as he kissed her hand. He was definitely beginning to act more like Raven, and that was something for her to smile about. "I would sure hope that you wouldn't call me such a thing," she warned with a scowl. "If so, then you would be lucky to already be in a hospital bed, because that's where you would need to be after I'm done with you." Despite her threat, Rosemarie leaned over the bed (but not before stealing a quick glance at the curtain) and kissed his mouth. Flashes of Romeo and Juliet crossed her mind then, and she smiled in amusement. "Boy would it suck for me if you still had poison on your lips." For now, the anger was gone for her, but it would certainly not forgotten. The little snake, as she was now nicknamed, it would seem, was already planning on her revenge that was waiting for Akantha Anderson.

"It wasn't actually poison," Raven reminded her with a little laugh as she pulled away. It felt nice, being approached and touched by someone who wasn't holding a six-inch needle that they were about to stick him with. The Indian wouldn't say that he was outright scared of doctors and their instruments, but he sure didn't like them--he'd seen enough of both in six hours to last him a lifetime. Maybe several. "That's why I kissed you and am letting you kiss me. It was too much crushed-up aspirin in my coffee, remember? There's no way you can get sick from being with me; and I'm pretty sure that's why the goth nurse let you in in the first place. If I were contagious, you'd be out of here faster than you could say 'Artemis.'" He gave an amused little chuckle--perhaps at Rosemarie's brief burst of ignorance, perhaps at something else entirely. "You know that, don't you?"

"Well, now I do," Rosemarie said with a smirk, though her face did gain a shade. "I didn't exactly wait to come here knowing all the details. All I'd heard was 'poison' and 'Raven' and I was gone." She squeezed his hand a little bit more tightly in her grip. "Then when I actually got here, I was too busy arguing with the goth to actually let me in that I forgot to ask about the details of the situation. Honestly, I was expecting you to be on the verge of death." A small sigh came from the former Huntress. "You were close, at least you looked it, but thankfully you weren't. Though, you're still incapable of doing any damage to anyone just yet." I'll do that, her eyes seemed to say.

Raven's smirk slid all the way back over on the insanity-meter, becoming more of a lupine than a human expression once again. He had read the intent in her eyes, and decided to comment on it: "Maybe you'd be up for a couple of...oh, I don't know, a couple of games?" He lowered his voice once more, so that the nurse outside the room could not hear. Thankfully, his blood pressure had lowered again, so Drake had no reason to come in intervening. The Indian's tone became suggestive, coaxing. As if Rosemarie would need any convincing. "With a certain someone? We both know she thinks she's ready to play, but is she? Is she really?" The gleam in his eyes now matched his smile: wolfish. Predatory. "Why don't you go and find out for me, inadá? You know, because I'll be stuck here for a little while."

Rosemarie did not take any notice of the predator-like, evil expression on her lover's face. It was one she had seen several times on his face, and it also mirrored exactly how she was feeling on the inside. She glanced over her shoulder again, saw no rustling outside of the curtain, and then crawled up onto the edge of the bed, bringing herself close enough to him to be able to whisper without fear of anyone else but him hearing her. "I swear sometimes you can read my mind, deary." The gleam in her eye was bright, and she bit her bottom lip in excitement. Already, she could see herself hovering over the little slut, bruises and blood already on her body. "I was just thinking the exact same thing." She chuckled, knowing that she was already an open book to the boy hooked up to the monitor in the small room.

"Beautiful." Raven wrapped his arms about Rosemarie's middle and pulled her closer to him, cupping her face with one hand and running his fingers gently through her curly red locks with the other. It was quite crowded on the bed now, what with both of them there, and probably uncomfortably warm (as he'd noticed before, excitement--especially the bad sort--did nothing to help with his temperature) but Raven thought for a moment that it was a fairly wonderful place. "Rosie, I know I've never really said this before--not with words, anyway--but I love you. I really do. You're probably the most perfect human being on the planet." And he kissed her on the mouth, hard. He meant his words: he thought the young ex-Hunter to be wonderful, truly wonderful. He usually preferred to let those thoughts show through his actions and not his words, but he really didn't think any harm could be done through telling her so every once and a while.

Rosemarie felt the warmth around her, but she didn't mind at all. The warmth was comfortable, if maybe only a little bit too hot for her comfort. When he spoke, told her that he loved her, the ex-Huntress had no idea what to say, and was grateful for the kiss that bided her time to gather words. Her arms wrapped around the sadist's neck, pulling her ever closer as she kissed him again, not sure if she was biding herself more time on purpose or if she was truly enjoying the kiss. It was more than likely a mixture of both. Her fingers curled around the smaller baby hairs at the base of his neck. She pulled back then, resting her head on his chest and looking up at him with wide blue eyes filled with words she had not yet spoken. She thought that if Raven thought she was the most wonderful person in the world, then he hadn't been around a lot of good people, but she didn't say so out loud. "You're amazing, too, Nathan Adair." She never used his real name, not ever, but she thought of how serious the conversation had been, it was a proper time to use his birth name. "Despite all the mind games and teasing, I want you to know I love you, too." She kissed him lightly on the lips again.

((This is the best. The best.))

And in a startling turn of events, Raven didn't even mind. The use of his birth name seemed...proper here. Not normal, not even natural, but right. The way visiting the grave of a loved one to find comfort or peace felt right. Right now, the Indian felt as if he were floating high above himself, all the way up on cloud nine. If this wasn't bliss, then he didn't know what was. Rosemarie's kisses were returned with an intense, passionate hunger, but after several minutes of this the boy pulled away--regretfully, slowly. He kept his hands cupped gently around the young Hunter's face as he told her, "This is probably one of the greatest feelings in the universe, Rosemarie, but we really ought to stop." He leaned forward, touching their lips together once more, very briefly, so that he could smile against her. "Because if we don't, my stupid heart is going to betray me and the next thing you know, the goth is going to sprint in here like the world is ending with a set of primed shock paddles." He gave a low, amused chuckle. "And neither of us wants that to happen, right?"

[Awwws OMG HE'S TALKING ABOUT THE HEART WE DIDN'T KNOW HE HAD. ❤❤❤]

With a regrettable sigh, the former Huntress leaned away from Raven's face. "No, you're right," she murmured, but that didn't stop her from kissing him again. By doing so, she realized that the hunger, the passion was still there. Unfortunately, it would have to be left alone for now. "I'm sure he's bound to come and check up on you any moment now, anyways." She slowly slid off of the bed that held the two of them and now stood next to him, leaning over him slightly and again holding his face in one of her hands. Gods, she felt so at ease, her chest feeling light and her mind feeling peaceful. She never wanted to leave the room, and would have been just as happy if she freezed the moment that they were in and stayed in it for forever. Sadly, she knew she couldn't, and there was business for Rosemarie to attend to. "I suppose I'd better leave, though," Rosemarie said with a sigh, her expression showing how badly she really wanted to stay. "I don't want Drake kicking me out because I want to come back." Her hand went under his chin, her thumb grazing over the rough skin of his chin. "If I can't come back, though, honey." Another quick kiss, she couldn't help herself now. "I want you to come find me the minute you get out of here."

"Of course." Raven smiled at her, and though he didn't exactly look healthy, for a moment it was almost as if the mere moments they had spent together on the bed had healed him, at least a little. "You know I will, my little inadá. That's a promise. I don't break my promises."

She was still worried, but she kissed his forehead like she wasn't at all. "I know you won't. I'll see you later, though." She smiled at him before turning and walking through the closed curtain. She gave the goth nurse orders to take special care of Raven before going off out the door, stomping like she had a purpose. And ladies and gentlemen, she most certainly did.

[Fade.]

Margot, too had heard about the asylum-famous sadist being poisoned and although she had thought nothing of it, Dolly Miss Molly had convinced her to go and see Raven. He will be weak now, the doll had told her in an excited whisper. Now's the perfect chance. Chance to do what? The doll hadn't said. Still, Margot trusted her doll and she went to the infirmary. Thankfully, no one was around as far as guards, and the nurse must have been off duty, because the infirmary was empty. It did, however, take the young murderer a while to find out which room Raven was in. When she did, she slipped through the curtain quietly, with Dolly Miss Molly in her arms.

Raven had been dozing, trying to curve his massive headache with sleep and not pills because he still couldn't keep them down--but the best he'd managed was an infuriatingly light sort of nap, and when the soft sound of a rustling curtain exploded in his head (he was, to his own dismay, still hypersensitive to everything) even that was shattered. His neutral expression was replaced by a pained little frown, and he opened one eye. Surprise caused him to open both when he realized that it wasn't a nurse nor a guard nor Rosemarie who had come to visit him, but Margot. The one with the creepy doll. The sadist's frown deepened. "Margot?" A question. Not hostile--yet--but obviously irritated, and a little confused. "What are you doing in my room?"

Margot didn't answer him immediately. She tilted her head to one side and listened for what Dolly was going to tell her. "I cam here to see if the rumors were true," she answered, though her voice sounded programed, like she was reading something from a piece of paper out loud. "And it looks like they are!" A small smile crept over the little girl's face, but a sweat had formed underneath her arms and on the palms of her hands, despite how confident she seemed to look. What was she doing here? What did Dolly want her to do now? Move closer to the bed, but not close enough where he can touch you! The doll warned, and Margot obeyed. In the same, rehearsed sounding voice, Margot said, "it's a shame that I wasn't the one who did it, though. Don't get me wrong, Raven. Even though you're definitely an asshole, I don't particularly want you dead. Just think." A wolfish smile appeared on Margot's face, but her eyes looked too distracted, not with the times. "Just think if the glory the person who did this to you would get, Raven! That's what I would have wanted. That's what I want now." No, not what she wanted, but what Dolly wanted. Her green gaze shot to the tubes Raven was connected to, there weren't a lot, but she could figure out which one was important enough to his life. "I wonder if I would get the same glory succeeding where the other person failed," she said dreamily, eyes fixed on the monitor all the time.

Raven blinked. This Margot definitely didn't sound like the childish fourteen-year-old he had met in the library. Prancing in here, smiling at him, taunting him, threatening his life? After what he'd done and threatened to do in the library? He didn't know what this was--but he didn't like it at all. Ever-so-slightly, his upper lip curled to reveal the tips of his canine teeth. "Do you?" he asked, and his voice was quiet. Quiet with surprise, quiet with growing anger. Raven debated for a moment calling for Drake--but only a moment. This was something he could (and would) handle himself. "Do you really, Margot?" The chuckle that escaped him was formless, almost angry, almost amused, much like his attempt at a smile. His eyes followed hers, to the wires, to the monitor. There was no fear in them. "Are you going to try to kill me today? You and Dolly Miss Molly?"

Not me, Margot wanted to say, but Dolly said that if she did, she would have to pay for it later. Margot didn't like it when Dolly made her pay for things. Those things hurt, and they hurt a lot. "I might, and I might not," Dolly said through her, and she steppes even closed to the machines, still out of Raven's reach of touch. She touched one of the clear tubes, and while she didn't pull the plug on it, she twisted the tube around itself, not tying it, but blocking whatever it was that was inside from Raven's body. "It's only a thought, Raven," came the voice and the predatory smile, so much like one of Raven's and so much unlike one of her own. "Not definite. Certainly not set in stone."

"Take your hand off the tube, Margot." Raven's voice was just as steady as his gaze, now trained on the younger girl. What she was blocking off was nothing essential--just an IV drip (apparently, constant vomiting did horrors for the amount of fluid in one's system) but nonetheless, the Indian didn't want the girl going any further and unplugging, oh, say, the machine that was still trying to get the last of the aspirin out of him. That would not be a good thing. So steadily, calmly, Raven said, "I mean it, sweetheart. Move your hand right now." Emphasis was placed on the last word, and the Indian's eyes flashed when he spoke it. If you don't, he seemed to say, there will be trouble for you. He hoped that would be enough to startle Margot out of her strange trance. If it wasn't, more drastic measures would have to be taken.

"Yeah?" She asked with a small smirk, toying with the tube in her fingers. She saw that the tube was nit doing him any damage, and releases the tube. "Fine," she said with a coy smirk, and picked up another tube, one that she hoped was a tad more important to Raven's health than the tube she had chosen before. "I'll drop that one," she agreed. "And how about I see what this one does to you. Do you know, Raven? What will it do to you? Mess with your heart rate? Drop your pulse? Stop your breathing? What?" She toyed with the tube, the Margot inside not sure that she wanted to hurt him, but she heard the doll whispering, ordering her to tie the tube.

"That's the one that takes my blood pressure," Raven replied, calm as ever, as if he had been in this same situation a million times. He tapped the band on his arm. "If you unplug it, the monitor outside the door just stops beeping. So no, I can't say it will do anything horribly drastic to me." Luckily, the Indian wasn't hooked up to an oxygen mask, or a heart stabilizer, or anything else that was essential to his survival. Which was good, because Margot seemed to be wanting to go quite far. When she got to that last tube...what would he do? Call the nurse? Only if things got desperate, he decided--that was weakness, after all, crying out. Speaking of weakness...his eyes strayed to the doll, and slowly, very slowly, a smile spread across Raven's own features. A plan was forming in his head, and a good one at that. Let Margot go for that third tube. Let her see where that would get her.

Margot did go to the third tube, Dolly hung at her side like a child would carelessly have it. Even with the far distance, Margot could hear the doll's whispering orders. They were orders that only she could hear, even if she screamed at Margot, no one else could hear. "Then this tube must be the ticket, wouldn't you say so, Raven? I certainly do." This was the tube that could end Raven's life. If it had been up to Dolly Miss Molly, then Margot would have ripped the plug from the machine the second Raven had told her what it went to. Except Margot had gained control, if only for a moment, and her fingers curled around the tube hesitantly.

It was in that moment of hesitation that Raven struck. It nearly made his head explode--he almost, almost screamed from the sudden pain as the sound of his banded arm slamming against the metal of the hospital bed reached his ears--but he did it anyway, lunging up and forward and grabbing Margot's doll, snatching it away from her. He fell back onto the pillows, panting, his eyes gleaming, an animal smile on his face that for a moment made him look almost entirely insane. "Do you remember, Margot, when we talked about Dolly Miss Molly in the library all those months ago?" His voice was hushed but excited. Slowly, one hand encircled the doll's tiny arm. "Do you remember when you told me that she wouldn't speak to me even if I tortured her? Hmmm? Remember? Do you?" The hand around the doll began to twist and squeeze, and tightly. There was a sound like rushing air as his hand put sudden pressure on the inside of the plastic toy. "Drop that tube like it's hot, Margot Middleton--or I swear Dolly Miss Molly is going to scream." Now he leaned forward, eyes gleaming, smile as wide as ever. His intention, of course, was to snap the doll's arm clean off. "And do you know what the best part is? You're the only one who's going to be able to hear her. No one will come running to save your precious little Molly except you, and you know what will happen if you get close enough." Raven chuckled, and flexed his free hand. "You'll be taking a nice little nap on the floor, Margot. And when you wake up...Dolly might not be there to greet you."

[I love him. Even when be's sick he's awesome!]

Margot hesitated, listening to Raven's words and then listening to Dolly Miss Molly screaming at her, telling her to finish it off, kill him, and she would be all right. So long as she killed him. She looked from the doll in Raven's arms to Raven's cold, hard face. "Please don't hurt Dolly," she said with a small whimper deep in her throat. Suddenly, she was the small, childish Margot that the asylum had known and not grown fond of. "It's my fault. My fault I can't help but follow orders. Please, Raven." But her hand was still on the tube, did she really want to save Dolly, then? It would be so easy to do as Raven wanted her to, but not doing so would result in a free Margot. Broken, but free.

"Your choice, Margot. Remember the choice you made." There was a loud, satisfying pop! and off came the doll's arm in Raven's hand. He threw the plastic limb at her, so that it bounced right off of the younger girl's chest--right above her heart, where that her actions would hurt her the most. Of course, this was very, very intentional. Raven's smile grew, and his eyes glittered. The horrible creatures there in his gaze were chanting gleefully, over and over, You did this, you did this, you did this to her!

Margot screamed, a pain-filled, heartwrenching scream and she grabbed at her mangled doll, the tube now forgotten. Tears stung at the girl's eyes, spilling over without fear. She could hear Dolly screaming, though. Cries of agony that Margot was now parroting. "Dolly! Give her back to me!" She cried out with a sniff, tears running down her face. "Dolly, Dolly, Dolly." She grabbed at the doll every time she said his name, afraid of getting too close because she didn't want him to touch her.

And just like that, Raven's hand was around Margot's throat. He yanked her forward, so that she slammed into the bars of his hospital bed, so that her face came that much closer to his. "You've fucked up, Miss Middleton," he whispered into her face, softly, so softly, so as not to alert the nurse. He might have been alerted anyway--the blood pressure monitor was going off the charts again. But the Indian didn't care--Drake was indeed on break, as Margot had noted when she walked into the room. There was no way anyone could be alerted. And somehow, that made the situation so much sweeter. Dolly Miss Molly went flying, slamming straight down into the trashcan in the corner of the room (luckily for Margot, the bag had just been changed.) Raven turned his attention back to the crying little girl. "Slam dunk," he murmured. "Don't you think so? It was a nice shot. Almost as nice as the one that ends your pathetic life is going to be, Margot." An exhilarated flush had rose to the pallor in Raven's cheeks, only accenting the look of savage insanity in his smile, his eyes, his entire face. "Does Dolly have anything to say to that? Hmmm? Does she, you hopeless little wrench?" The hand around Margot's throat closed in tighter, cutting off her air. Raven gave the girl a good, hard shake. "You better answer me," he hissed. "You had just better."

A strangled "No!" Came from Margot, and she grabbed for her doll. It was hard to talk with the Indian's large hand wrapped around her small throat. Dolly was gone, now. It brought more tears to her eyes that spilled onto her cheeks, strangled cries, barely making whimpering whining noises as her airway was cut off. She wanted her doll so badly now, and when Raven shoved his face into hers, Margot couldn't meet his eyes. She kept her gaze on the trashcan, her green eyes filled with pain and remorse at the loss of her precious doll and only companion. Inaudible words came from her as she was violently shaken, her hands grabbing the one around her neck. The sounds that were supposes to be her response to Raven's torture sounded like the sounds of a small, wounded animal. Like the sound of a rabbit being shot. Margot tried with all of her strength to get him off of her, but she was nowhere strong enough, even in his weakened state.

"No!" Raven exclaimed, and then he was laughing. A short, victorious, barking laugh--not loud enough to alert anyone, but definitely enough to fill the room. With a smirk, the Indian gave Margot's throat one final, choking squeeze, and then he pushed her away, so that she fell to the floor. He raised his head despite the pain it caused him, so that he could peer over the railings of his bed down at her, wolfish smile in place. "No," he repeated. "No. Dolly Miss Molly is going to be quiet, isn't she, Margot? Because she's been silenced. She's been silenced for good." Finally his laughter died down into chuckles, and he gave a self-satisfied nod. "You're going to pay for that, for trying to kill me," he told the sobbing girl. "Even more than you already have. Sweet dreams, waduisi." Raven threw her a surprisingly dainty wave, then pointed at the curtains. "Now get out of my sight. Leave the doll. Oh, and remember: for each person you tell or think of telling about this little incident, I'm going to tack on another five minutes to your death throes. Don't forget it."

[Oh my god this was perfect. Fade.]

Sniveling, sobbing, and crying, Margot began to crawl away and out of the door. Not before she looked at the garbage can through teary eyes. She could hear Dolly Miss Molly calling her name, calling for help. She wanted to grab her then, but she knew she couldn't. Tears running down her face, Margot left, leaving a part of her in the garbage with her doll.

[We're the only people who have RPd here. We're gonna take up the whole page. XD]

The infirmary had another visitor, but it was one that it had already seen before, and it was one that the infirmary's only patient would be glad to see. Rosemarie walked through the door, accompanied by two guards that flanked her. They were to follow her everywhere for at least a week. Rosemarie had spent the last day in isolation for her bad behavior, and would have stayed in longer if not for her begging and pleasing to visit Raven at the infirmary. It was partly a reason to escape from the too soft, too cushy isolation room, but the former Huntress really was dying to see the poisoned sadist again. The guards at her sides were reluctantly shoved away by the one nurse, the only nurse, who would stay on duty to take care of Raven. The goth nurse who she had fought with before to see Raven sat in the chair outside of Raven's room, looking rather tired. Apparently, they had made amends because Drake waved at her with a weary smile as she slipped through the curtained doorway of the infirmary.
