Certainly! The first five, which Brumet calls foundational, are: 1) radical self-awareness; 2) deep self-acceptance; 3) unlimited forgiveness; 4) universal benevolence; and 5) compassionate communication.
The next set, called specialized practices, are: 6) Everything is my teacher; 7) Dancing with chaos; 8) Death is my advisor; 9) Living in the heart of desire; and 10) I am the author of my life.

I got the book last night and am very impresses with radical self-acceptance. I could probably stay right there for three months. What a great practice. It will take a lot of work and I am game. I love it. Would love to hear what others are experiencing as they practice.
Hello UnityBooks, Barbara, and fellow travelers!!! I'm excited to be here, can you tell??? I've been looking for courage to not give up something I've started - embracing myself and my uniqueness. A uniqueness which seems to fixate on the 'greater good' more often than is common and more often than is convenient for me and most people I interact with. I feel like a lonely bumbling idiot a good part of the time lately. I can only hope that perhaps I've started practicing before I began reading. I just got the book onto my Kindle after my search for courage to keep plowing ahead "damn the torpedo's" brought me to the Unity site - and this current book / book club of the month. I'm going to go do some reading to see if there's hope for me yet : ) Hope to report in with good news soon! -slm
SherrylThere is always hope. Glad to have you sharing the reading. I am still concentrating on radical self-acceptance. Hope you find it as empowering as I do. It is one possible step to finding the courage you desire. The hard part for me is looking for and recognizing the sensations. Feelinga are a little easier. I recognize the thoughts, so stepping back and witnessing is the next hard part. I have heard it before. I know it is right. But it is so easy to get tangled up and defensive. "Relax. let go, release and surrender: is part of a chant that Karen Drucker does and is so appropriate here.

Hey, Sherry, "Forward with the ship," I appreciate your openness and candor. You sound like 1 terrific lady. Gratitude comes in all forms, I am learning to express my gratitude and I am grateful to you for writing and reminding me. Karen
