Ed Wagemann (edwagemann) | 1013 comments Name some of those songs/bands that you are supposed to be embarassed about liking?

I'll admit to Styx greatest hits. Yeah, I know. Shameful, but there it is.

Bryan Adams
The Outfield
Loverboy
Quiet Riot

Ed Wagemann (edwagemann) | 1013 comments I only know one Outfield song, "Loose your love tonight" I think it is called. Yeah, I love that song and its got a great video. I always wondered about the blind key board player. I thought it was just a put on.

Also Loverboy has one song I love, "Turn me loose". The instrumental intro to that song brings back memories of junior high basketball games.

Junior high basketball games?

Once again, I feel ancient.

Ed Wagemann (edwagemann) | 1013 comments Didn't that song come out in 1981-ish?

Feeling ancient isn't always such a bad thing though, is it?
:)

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

It came out in 1985, at which point I was already 28.

message 7: by Ed (new)

Ed Wagemann (edwagemann) | 1013 comments Really 1985? Shit. I would have been 17 then. For some reason I equate it with my junior high basketball team...lol

A very odd song, Raymond.

Really? I could never take much of his post-"Damn the Torpedos" catalog.

I hope to never again hear "She's a good girl, crazy 'bout Elvis" even if it means the premature donation of my ears to medical science.

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

"If I Had A Rocket Launcher" by Bernie Taupin is a timeless song, and one hell of a good one.

I like Petty's "You Don't Know How It Feels"

Ed Wagemann (edwagemann) | 1013 comments Tom Petty is like vanilla ice cream. I can eat one or two spoonfuls and then after that I want to vomit.

Putting peanut butter on my **** and letting the dog go to town. LOL

Vomit Tom. That's what we call him here in Canada.:)

Ed Wagemann (edwagemann) | 1013 comments Something about Tom Petty that bothers me is that he named his back up band the Heartbreakers even though Johnny Thunders already had a band named the Heartbreakers. Maybe Petty didn't know about Johnny Thunders band, but for some reason I just don't like that.

Ed Wagemann (edwagemann) | 1013 comments My latest guilt pleasure is Herb Albert's rendition of a Burt Bacharach song called "This guy's in love with you". I love that horn sound
