I started reading Patterson in 98 and have read every cross book since. some are better than others but I like the type of books he writes by far favorite kiss the girls..
Yes I like the Alex Cross series, also the Womens Murder Club as well, Annette. They are always a good, easy read if you want something light.
Was lucky enough to see him in Sydney last night. He is very passionate about his writing and is trying to help promote reading in children.
I am a beginner with this author! I have read the first few of each series, Alex Cross and the Women's Murder Club. They are always fast and entertaining and I look forward to reading many many more.
My wife and I have read most of his Alex Cross series and all of the Womens Murder Club as well.We have enjoyed them all and look forward to more.
How exciting for you Anastasia! I would have loved to have seen him:( I really enjoy (most) of his work - as Phrynne says, they are fast reads and entertaining! I always enjoy settling down with a Cross or Murder's Club - really enjoying the Michael Bennett series too:)
Ray Martin interviewed him. I don't think he's changed much since he did Midday all those years ago. A wonderful evening.
I have read almost all, bar the most recent, still on my TBR, Alex Cross, Womens Murder Club and Michael Bennett. Have also read Maximum Ride (definitely went downhill after the first few, will not bother with the last one), some of Private (but not going to read any more), and 1 Daniel X (and definitely no more of those).
I've read a lot of the stand alones. But now I am limiting myself to Alex Cross, WMC and Michael Bennett, except for the few stand alones still in my TBR.
I have to say that the earlier books, when he was writing more of the books himself, are much better than the later ones. Cross Country is one I found to be outstandingly below the standard of his earlier books.
His trademark short chapters make for a quick read, although there's a lot of wasted space, so maybe not so environmentally friendly?
Generally, fast paced with some excellent twists.
I tried The Angel Experiment which I think is Maximum Ride#1 and found it to be a bit too much on the young side of YA.
I haven't read any of his YA/kids books including the Maximum Rides. I'm not fussed on the Private books either...I've read a couple and found they started well, but I've got a few here I own, that I'm not keen to read anymore! Stopped buying them:)
