Arielle Rae Aguilar I absolutely loved this series and every time I reread it, it leaves me in a book hangover. Are there any other series like this, with the amazing world-building and perfect romance with a HEA?

Winnie The Singer of All Songs (The Chanters of Tremaris, #1) by Kate Constable
i read this series a long time ago and i recently read the tairen soul series and they are very alike! it has the adventure, magic and romance. you should check it out. trust me, you'll get addicted! (:

Oh! I've read this, but I think I should give it a reread. I agree they are pretty similar... Thanks for reminding me about it
Too bad there's only three books :(

Yvonne Toney I think I'll reread this series also. Loved it!!

Shawn I loved these books! I don't think I've ever read anything else quite like them. I'll have to look into the above suggestion.

Emily I LOVED this series. It is currently my favorite series (and I love to read lol). There is another series that I am currently reading (last book will be out sometime this month) that I also love. The author does do HEA endings. Its called The Mageri series by Dannika Dark. I think you would love it if you like these books. It is seriously addicting. There are even some fan groups I am apart of on Face Book for this author/book series. Happy reading! I may check out that other series that was suggested!

Thanks for the recommendation! I'm so happy that there are a lot of other people who love this series as well :D

Antoinette Turner This series is one of my favourites too. Í read it once a year. I'm constantly recommending it to others and I always describe it as the female version of Lord of the Rings - but way better and with romance :) Her first book in a new series is out this year and I cannot wait. I will check out the recommendations above so thanks.

Shaye The series puts me in the mind of Finnikin of the Rock series. I absolutely LOVED this series and reread more than once. If you liked Lord of the Fading Lands (Tairen Soul, #1) by C.L. Wilson series, you will enjoy Finnikin of the Rock (Lumatere Chronicles, #1) by Melina Marchetta Froi of the Exiles (Lumatere Chronicles, #2) by Melina Marchetta Quintana of Charyn (Lumatere Chronicles, #3) by Melina Marchetta

Antoinette Turner Thanks Shaye, I'll check it out. My hubby just finished rereading The Tairen Soul series for the second time and he doesn't like romance but there's enough action to keep him happy. Also The Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh is excellent.

I agree. Have you read the Psy Changeling series, which is written by Nalini Singh as well? It's also really fantastic

I've got those on my tbr list, but I haven't gotten up to them yet :D

Antoinette Turner One of my favourite series - I've read them all multiple times. What a brilliant Author.

Beaupeep I absolutely loved this series and straight after set out to find similar books. Took me awhile, but came across Elizabeth Vaughan's Warprize trilogy which was just fantastic.

I don't know how to link the nooks - hope the following works

Oh that series is wonderful and I loved it too!
Have you read her other series, first book Dagger Star?

Beaupeep I haven't - I take it it's worth it? Thanks will check it out.
One I'm reading now is a series by Jaymin Eve - it also is fantastic - it's so difficult to get a series that holds your attention. This one us classified as sci if but it's re ally so much more than that. First book is First World, now on the second book Spurn, four books in the series out at the moment. And another author I'm crazy about is Scarlett Dawn and her King Hall series. Both of the books have a lot of action and enough romance. The second book King Cave was heavier on the romance/sex, but that certainly doesn't bother me, might your hubby though.

Antoinette Turner Stop!!!! I shall be broke soon :) Lol. These names are great. I haven't heard of any of them.

They are the same series that's why they are so similar. And so far there are five books in the series but Cheryl says Bel's story will be coming soon.

If you need a C.L. Wilson fix her book The Winter King will be coming out in just a few days. It's a totally different series (beginning of) but equally good

You may also want to try The Girl of Fire and Thorns (Fire and Thorns, #1) by Rae Carson . It is like comparable to Fading Lands.
Your husband may enjoy Prince of Thorns (The Broken Empire, #1) by Mark Lawrence . Very adult and LOTS of actions. Took me a while to get into it but I tore through the series. I recommend it (especially for guys). I was sad it was only a trilogy. Great books.

Antoinette Turner I'll check it out - thank you. I read so much and it always startles me when I find a new author that I truly love, but have never heard of before. It's like Christmas Day.

Beaupeep I agree. The Girl of Fire and Thorns trilogy is another excellent read.

Mari There are plenty of excellent fantasy books with a romance undertone. But the Tairen Soul books are pretty unique. I don't know of anything just like it. CL WILSON is in the process of putting out another story, however. Something about a Winter Kingdom and a Summer Kingdom.
Its weird, because the books are not that well thought out. You have long lived immortals that act like five year olds. You have fey women who let themselves be overprotected because they are unable to kill, but actually, they could easily protect themselves without needing to kill. Rain has a blow out anger fit because humans won't simply take his word for stuff with no proof. What did he expect? Plus, Rain is like this mightly magus, but he pushes this nineteen year old powerless blond girl into a river, because she happened to think Ellie was a drip. On top of all that the HERO killed half the world because his girlfriend was killed in a war, even though she was a medic, and not a civilian! What? He figured the Eld had no right to fight back??? ... Facepalm. If I was Ellie, I would have told MR Hitler to get lost no matter how cute he was But it was still pretty good series.

Wow, didn't like the series much did you? Rain didn't dump the girl in the river, Kieran did. It isn't the best series I've read but it is entertaining.

PS. I don't know if any has suggested the Fever series The Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning . You would like it, Antoinette.

Antoinette Turner I've read her Highland Mist series so I'll check it out - thanks.

Mazzeran Moore This is one of my favorite series. I also like all of the Karen Moning books.

Namevergessen I would say that the Dark Jewels by Anne Bishop. They share some aspacts.

Shauni Namevergessen wrote: "I would say that the Dark Jewels by Anne Bishop. They share some aspacts."

Probably anything by Anne Bishop.. I am loving her Courtyard of the Others series

I've started the first book and was enjoying it immensely, but I found out about something happening in the very last novel/novella (in this one Twilight's Dawn (The Black Jewels, #9) by Anne Bishop ) that turned me off reading the series :(

Thanks though!

I know... Logically, I can see that it's perfectly reasonable and might not be that bad, but I just can't seem to bring myself to continue anymore

Michelle My all time favorite epic fantasy series!!! There is nothing like it... but I have some others that were close seconds... like Radiance by Grace Draven. Mageri series. Knights of the Black Swan Series. Irin Chronicles. Elemental Mysteries series. Roam series.
