Jax:
Jax sat with his backpack next to his desk, really not wanting to be at the school right then. Well, he never really wanted to be at school. The bullying was so awful that he often skipped, but home was not much better. He sat reviewing his photos from the past day.

Avery sighed softly entering the class, he noticed a few empty seats, but decided to go with the safest option of asking the teacher. Thankfully he didn't introduce him to the entire class saving him from embarrassment. He looked up at the boy his teacher directed him yo sit next to. Once he sat down he smiled over at him. "Hey."
Jax:
Most people at the school hated being a new kid's "beginning buddy," but Jax actually liked it. Most of the kids at the school did not talk to Jax, so this was really his only way to talk to other kids. He smiled over at Avery, "Hi, are you Avery?"

"Yup," he said surprised he knew his name. "What's your name?" Avery asked curiously, unable to not notice how adorable he was. He cleared his throat uncomfortably at the thought, pulling out some things for class. So far he hadn't made many friends- and the people he had talked to were all girls- which was probably due to his absolute hotness, he thought to himself sarcastically. He honestly preferred boys though, sure he dated girls in the past, but it didn't really feel right.
Jax:
Jax tried to keep his eyes from lingering on Avery, but he couldn't help it, the guy was super hot and Jax wasn't that good at hiding his attraction. "I'm Jax, The front office said you would be coming, I'm your "budy" to show you around and stuff."

He looked over out of the corner of his eyes, he couldn't help smile when he noticed Jax looking at him- but reminded himself the dude was probably straight. "Well thanks Jax for showing me too first class, I probably got lost three times- mauled by girls the other half of the time it took to get here." He said teasingly.
Jax:
Chuckling, Jax bit his lip, "Sorry, man, they didn't tell me what day it was you would be starting here." Under his breath, Jax remarked quietly, and hopefully not loud enough for Avery to hear, "And I can't blame the girls."

Avery heard him mumble something under his breath- unsure exactly what it was. He looked over at him, "What was that?" He asked- hating not knowing things.
Jax:
Jax blushed, looking at the table, but answering him, "I said that I don't blame them."

He smiled as Jax blushed, he couldn't help but feel excited Inside, but he tried to push that feeling down. Avery was about to say something else but then the teacher started talking about who knows what. Truth was he had not a clue about photography- but he was glad he'd joined the class.
Jax:
Jax, having been in most of the other art classes, had taken Photography to complete his arts major. He was an excellent photographer and knew the teacher quite well. As she showed them she slide show on photography, she paused and looked over at Jax, "And this photo is from one of our very own, Jax. He won several national prizes with it." Jax blushed and chewed his lip, embarrassed

He looked over at Jax who was biting his lip- which looked pretty seductive despite the circumstances. "Wow you're amazing." Avery whispered to him softly- watching as the teacher continued to go through a bunch of other slides.
Jax:
Blushing, Jax shook his head, "Not really... I just kind of point and click..."

He smirked as he noticed the boy blushing. "That's more than i can handle." He told him sarcastically.
Jax:
Jax chuckled a little bit and turned to Avery, "So, tell me about yourself."

He moved his chair a little closer towards the boy so their knees were touching. "What do you wanna know?" Avery asked, running a hand through his hair.
Jax:
Jax chewed his lip for a moment, thinking about it, "Alright, you're new, so where were you originally from?"

He sighed heavily, scratching the back of his neck. "California- it was nice, i mean most of it at least." He said; looking down at the table.
Jax:
Feeling like he didn't get the whole story, but may have stepped on a nerve, Jax looked at the ground, "I didn't mean to pry. If you don't want to tell me, that's okay."

Jax:
Jax felt the need to reach out and comfort the boy, but he knew better that that, instead he gave a sympathetic smile, "What happened?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "My Dad was abusive..." He said trailing off. "And now I live with my aunt."
Jax:
That hit a little closer to home for the boy who was afraid to go home, and Jax turned very pale, biting his lip and looking down, "Oh."

Shaking his head, Jax tried not to look so worried, "Oh, uh nothing."

Jax:
After sitting through most of class, Jax had an itch on his arm. It wouldn't have been a problem, but he had to lift up his sleeve and that would revel the large hand print bruise around his wrist. He turned to hopefully give Avery less of a chance to see it and then itched at it quickly.

Avery sat there- looking at Jax curiously when he turned around, but not really questioning it. He paid attention as the teacher drawled on; still not having a clue what she was talking about.
Jax:
By the end of the class, everyone was asked to pick a partner for the upcoming project. They would have to spend outside time working on the project together.

Avery looked over at Jax for a moment silently, giving him a smile and bumping his knee slightly. "You wanna be partners, since you know, i suck at taking pictures."
Jax:
Jax turned to Avery and smiled a bit, having never been asked to be anyone's partner, "You would be a lovely model to take photos of."

He rolled his eyes playfully, "I know, I could pose next to trees and everything!" He said pretending to sound excited as he gave the other boy a teasing smile.
Jax:
Chuckling, Jax shook his head, "I'm just saying..." He then heard a few of the boys whispering and saw them pointing to the two of them. He sighed, "If you're worred about your reputation, I would tell you to get away from me now."

He followed Jax's gaze towards the two guys whispering to each other behind their backs- but it didn't really bother him; he'd dealt with bigger bullies and jerks then them. "It's fine, besides i've already got all these girls wrapped around my finger- they wouldn't dare to bother me." He said, resting his arm on his shoulder for a second and leaning into him casually.
Jax:
Jax was suprised by the touch of the other boy, but tried not to read into it and then looked at his phone, "SPeaking of which, normally my brother has texted me by now."

Avery chuckled softly under his breath, as he turned the conversation around. "You an him close?" He asked curiously.
Jax:
Jax pulled up a picture of them side by side and smiled at Avery after he showed it to him, "Yeah, I would say so."

Jax:
He chuckled, "Though, he never stops reminding me that he is, in fact, five minutes older than me>"
