Ok, so for me this book was filled with SO many inconsistencies especially concerning angels behavior but the most blatant inconstancy has got to be fact that in order to move forward with the story the "angels" had to perform a human sacrifice! Because I mean what else can you call Dee's death?

I think Dee's death was sad, too, but I think Lauren Kate made it clear it was necessary for the plot to continue with the sacrifice.
That's exactly my point! Why if most of the angels present where angels sided with The Throne, why then would they ever be ok with watching AND encouraging Luce to commit murder?! Lauren Kate lost me here, under no circumstances is it ok to push a dagger into someone's heart! A human sacrifice does NOT fit into who I thought, Daniel and Gabbe and all the others were...
Same here. I don't think it should have been necessary to continue the plot but it was. I thought the angels were better than that, too. Why make the good guys murder an innocent, caring person? I do have to say she encouraged them to kill her, though. That's different than killing people at her (Luce's) own will.
It seemed pointless since her death pretty much mounted her up as an ink bag. Such a crappy destiny to share fate with basically ink. Dee knew about what would happen, yet decided not to leave some sort of coloured liquid with all the other essentials she left. This is how I imagine god and dee's convo to go-God: So there's this map...
Dee: I happily die.
God: ...that needs coloured liquid to work...
Dee: Just use my blood, it's cool!
God: It doesn't need blood...
Dee: Yeah but who else can cause unnecessary angst?
God: Tru dat
