High School discussion

Clara made her way through the lunch line getting a turkey sandwich. She didn't mind some of the cafeteria food, you just had to know which ones were good or bad. She got her lunch and walked over to a table on the right. Most people always sat at the same table but she liked to change things up and sat at a different table everyday. Nobody seemed to mind and she wouldn't care if they did, she was just happy to do her own thing.

Jordan was deep in her thought about her soup that she was startled when she heard someone sitting next to her in the table.She looked up to see Clara she thought it was odd that she was in most of her classes but never really talk to her. "Hello" she said with a smile.

Clara looked at Jordan sitting next to her and smiled. She didn't really know Jordan all too well, but didn't have anything against her. "Hello! Mind if I sit here?"

"No,its fine the more the merrier I always say Clara right?" She asked. She smiled and was excited she was talking to some who wasn't evil after 5 minutes.

Clara laughed and said, "That's right!" She decided she liked
Jordan. She wasn't snobby like some of the other girls at the school and was nice to her. She looked down at her lunch and sighed. "What I wouldn't give for some pizza right now."

"Yeah and not school pizza either the legit pizza from the pizza shop. Although I would have to sneak it before my dad has a heart attack" Jordan said as she laughed remembering Sauce attack of 2010.

Clara gave a confused laugh and asked, "A heart attack?"

"My dad has antagonistic feelings towards the Pizza shop especially on any Friday, when people like to eat out.So one time my brother got home from a game ,and brought a box of pizza my dad had such a huge ruckus the pizza fell on the floor and the customer slip which nearly gave my dad a heart attack." Jordan explained

Clara laughed for real this time. "Oh yeah, I forgot. Your family owns that one restaurant."

"Yeah and it was a killer when I had to clean the mess and that guy was my customer so I couldn't even get a tip" Jordan sighed.

"Oh gosh, that sucks. Is it weird working for your dad?" Clara asked, honestly curious.

"Not really it's like if he gets mad he doesn't ground me he just docks my pay he keeps work and home separate.", Jordan replied.

"That's nice. I don't really have a set job. Some babysitting, in the summer I'll work at the library." Clary shrugged her shoulders and bit into her sandwich.

"You work in the library? How awesome is that, all the books you have in your hand and you get paid to take care of them" Jordan smiled excitedly."Hey why don't you come to my house after school" she asked.

Clara smiled and said, "Okay! Thanks." She was used to people tolerating her, but not many actually tried to get to know her and hang out. Clara had lots of acquaintances, but never a true friend.

"sweet meet me after school in the hallway and you can ride with me and my brother". Jordan said.

"Okie dokie! This will be fun."

"I know right I am surprise we didn't talk to this year"Jordan said.

Clara nodded and said, "Yeah. Your really cool. Good thing we're talking now!"

"Yeah this going to be a good year I guarantee it" Jordan said.

Clara grinned. She liked Jordan's personality, it made her feel less of a weirdo for being so happy-go-lucky. "I sure hope your right! Hey, how's it going with Logan?" She had heard someone talking about the two of them yesterday and was curious. She suddenly realized it was probably rude to ask that and stammered, "Oh, I, um, you don't have to answer that."

Jordan smiled turned into a speechless blush"H-how do you know that?,and um its sort of complicated too and its fine I just need to talk about it" Said Jordan. She was wondering how did Clara know this she hope she wasn't pulling a facade and was trying make her life hell she didn't need that.

Clara smiled and reassured her, "Oh, it's okay I won't tell anyone if you don't want me to. I know a lot of things about a lot of people. I have acquaintances everywhere and I kinda blend in with the background so I hear a lot of things."

Jordan smiled with relief "Oh good you had me worried there" she said."Well he been my friend so long I just don't want to lose him" She whispered in her ear.

Clara nodded trying to look as if she understood. She didn't have many good friends and had no experience with boyfriends or friend zones or any of that. She turned to her and said quietly, "Yeah, but you don't know if he likes you too. You've got to take a chance, if he doesn't want to be your friend afterwords its his loss."

"It just he one of my only true friends he been there with me since 6 grade and push Josh Micheals in the sand when he pulled my hair and I just don't want to lose him" she sighed."Also I don't even think he likes me I think he Likes Naomi Buchanan" She said.

"Has he told you that? What if he thinks you like... Jackson? You don't want to live your life on a What If, do you?"

"you really here threw the walls don't you?" Jordan laughed and smiled feeling better."Your right its just that feeling of change you don't know whether you want to see the true results you know." Jordan said and sighed.

Clara smiled and clapped Jordan on the back. "Yeah well, sometimes things change for the better. I mean back in the 1700s I doubt you and I would be educated."

"Yeah,I really don't want to think what my life would be like back then" Jordan laughed and imagining back then "Also if I dated anyone here I would have died" she said.

Clara laughed and said, "See? You can do anything! If he's not man enough to ask you out, your woman enough!"

Jordan laughed," you are the most boldest girl I ever talked to if you ever want fries its on me" she smiled.

Clara blushed a little bit. "I'm not that bold, I just do what I think is right. And thanks, I'll have to take you up on that sometime."

Jordan laughed "but enough about me do you have a crush?" Jordan lean closer with raised eyebrows.

Clara laughed and said, "No guy is going to give me the time of day, why waste my time thinking about it?"

Jordan raised her eyebrows " now why would you think that your pretty I'm sure a guy here likes you" she said with a smile.

Clara appreciated Jordan's comment, but no guys liked her. She wasn't the type of girl that swooned after any guy who looked her way, anyways. "Thanks for saying that. Honestly, I'm okay with being single."

Jordan smiled she wish she could be like that instead of her complicated love life " way to go miss independence Man if I could be like you so what did you do this summer?"

"Oh ya know, stayed up late, slept in. Went to the beach, hung with friends. What about you?"

"I just worked went to Georgia for vacation and hung out with Logan for the rest of the summer the usual".

Clara winked at Jordan when she mentioned hanging out with Luke. "Oh, that sounds fun."

Jordan blush " we always do that during the summer it's like a habit of ours".

"That sounds really fun." Clara said encouragingly.

" I don't I am I st affairs it won't work out and every thong is mess up and not the second " Jordan sighed and cover her head on the table " I'm pathetic".

Clara frowned at the girl and said, "Hey, you are not pathetic. You just need to have more confidence in yourself."

"I don't know it's just really hard sometime like my older brother the popular one my second is strong and my youngest are ridiculously smart it hard" Jordan sighed

"Yeah well, that makes you the funny one. Who doesn't love a love a funny chick?"

Jordan laughed "you are right thank" Jordan smiled " You are really nice I wish I talk to you before".
