I liked it except for both Lupin and Tonks dying. AND hedwig. WTF is with that?! I mean, it's not like she did anything anyway.
Courtney, I kinda agree, but I have to side with Samiha on this one. FREDD!!
*sigh* both fred n dobby were sad. almost cried.
Yeah. I figured a Weasley would die. I thought Percy would die after he had redeemed himself, but it turned out to be Fred. I was so sad, but I was more upset by Dobby'd death - maybe because Fred's death was so close to the end. I wish there had been another chapter after the Flaw in the Plan, like The White Tomb in HBP, to be more of a resolution.
I hate that Fred died but I guessed a Weasley would bite the dust simply because there are so many of them and they've all had so many close calls already. I thought the most pointless death was Hedgwig. And it really REALLY ticked me off that the author announced a year before the book was due out that 3 main characters would die. I guessed Snape would be one of them, but as I read the book, I kept going... Did Hagrid die? Is Mad-Eye missing count as one of the dead? Does Hedgwig count? It ruined the book for me that she put that bit out there. I realize characters we have come to love would die in a war, but I was surprised that the the war didn't last very long. One quick chapter of a battle and it's done, yet the searching for the horcrux's lasted so long as I getting bored to tears. Of all of her books, I hate this one the most. There are still things I'm not happy about how it ended, simply because she rushed the ending. And the epilogue... almost pointless. It didn't contain enough, just tidbits here or there. After 7 books, some incredibly long, I wanted a more satisfying ending without feeling like she didn't do enough. Being the final book, shouldn't it have been the longest? It needed another 200 pages to flesh out a better war and ending. (The horcrux hunt was LONG enough, alhtough I realize she was trying to get the reader as frustrated as the characters were). I also find it incredibly pointless in interviews after the final book was written that Rowling admitted that the character of Dumbledore was gay.
Yeah, I would have liked a longer, more detailed ending. Maybe a little information about all the kids, where Harry works, as well as Ginny, Ron and Hermione. What about Teddy, where he lives, maybe describe a scene in which Teddy comes over for dinner at Harry's house..
Hermione works for the ministry too.You might want to read this for more information about everyone:

I really don't know..
You know, in India, they didn't give this book out at Midnight. It was a Saturday here, so we had school, (we have school on Saturdays sometimes) and there is a book store next to my apartment, so we all went there, right before school, at like 7 o'clock!! I ditched school that day..heheheeee...
