New Adult Book Club discussion

So what did everyone think? We knew Golden Boy Cade and Angry Girl Max would end up together, but did you like the way it happened?

My first thought was that things wrapped up a little too neatly after Max confronted her parents, but then I thought about it and realized I can see where her disappearing for the day would scare them half to death.

Those types of scares are what make you re-think the minor things.

Overall, I think I liked Faking It even more than Losing It. How about you?

I loved this story and thought it was better than "Losing It". I love the difference between the characters. It really gave more depth to them. The whole ending had me so emotionally twisted inside. I knew they were going to end up together, but when she was telling her story and then he was fighting for her... Whew! Just seeing it played out in my head. Now that's a damn good book.

I agree- the story did build to a satisfying conclusion that worked perfectly with the characters' development! LI kind of surprised me with the quick move to engagement, but FI made complete sense. I especially loved the end of Max's song :)

"Ten years" is one of the reason why I would recommend this book.
I liked the story but not loved it, I feel like it lacks of something.

Really? Do you have a sense of what was missing? Like was it something about one of the characters or how their relationship developed? I've talked to a few people IRL who've said the same thing- that's why I'm curious...
