I am thoroughly enjoying it. It's 555 pages and I think I'll finish it tonight or at least by tomorrow. It's very interesting!

Walking Deadis the book upstairs I am reading, the newest Atticus book. I discovered this series around the time Lehane gave his Patrick a permenant vacation, also reading Absent Friends I guess I would call this a determation read, got about 30 pages in and not holding my interest, but the back and forth plots never do. And my favorite book right now 2nd Chance is my car and baseball book, I didnt like patterson due to short chapters, but the short lived series, got me interested enough to read them. teresa
Teresa: Stick with Absent Friends. It is well worth dealing with the alternating point of views.Teresa wrote: " also reading Absent Friends I guess I would call this a determation read, got about 30 pages in and not holding my interest, but the back and forth plots never do."
I plan on it, I quite enjoy the 2001 storyline but not the flip back to 1978, It would be easier if it was done by parts. teresa

Plus then you will be able to go over to the Spoiler thread and discuss it more!
J/F: Dead and Gone I LOVED it!!! Lots going on in this one with the vamps, the weres and the fairies, too!
Melodie:Thanks for the tip!
Charlaine Harris' Dead and Gone is finally on the way to the library hold shelf for me along with Greg Rucka's Walking Dead. It may be another week before I get them, but they are on the way!! NR Carol OConnell's Bone by Bone It is really good!

JF Bone by Bone (Carol O'Connell) - this was a VERY good book!NR The Renegades and ALWAYS LOOKING UP The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist
JF Dead Silence by RW White and Wicked Prey> by John SandordNR The Nightingale by Morgana Gallaway
I can't find the latter book, which is for a book group, when I search Goodreads. It was recently published, Gallaway's first novel, and is set in today's Mosul, Iraq... about a young, educated, modern woman who, since Saddam's fall, must now adhere to strict tradition in all she does. I'll read this alternately with Connelly's The Scarecrow

Sally, did you include the author's name in your search? I just did a search for Morgana Gallaway and found her book. She's a Goodreads author. There's a Kindle edition as well as a print edition, and there's a preview.

JF ---- well, nothing actually. I am more IP In progress! :)
I am going to finish Borderline today (ok, maybe really late tonight) Ironically I paid off my library fine of $1.90 yesterday and will probably add ten cents back for this book that was due yesterday. It will be worth it!
NR -- this is "Next" reading this time.....
perhaps The Tenth Gift or Gone Tomorrow
The Last Child[image error]
I just finished this, and I haven't heard anyone else mention it. I thought it was a very good book, with a plot that kept me guessing until the end.

Teresa, I am no good at writing book reviews, but I thought it was a very well written story with an unusual plot, and several twists that kept me guessing until the end. I'm one of those people that can usually figure out whodunit quite often. Any writer that can fool me is a pleasant surprise!

Teresa,
I enjoyed this book. It was not a mystery/thriller, but a very quick read. I think I finished it in one day. It was an interesting look into the Witness Protection System. A little sad at the end. What a tough life for those who have to go into the program...
Alyce:I have both of these books on my tbr list to get to soon! They both look good! Being on vacation this week, my tbr is growing and growing! What did you think of The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane?

I just came back from camping at the lake for five days, and I managed to finish Mayhem in Miniature by Margaret Grace and Death Loves a Messy Desk by Mary Jane Maffini.I just started Key Lime Pie Murder by Joanne Fluke.
Just Finished John Connolly's The Lovers. He certainly returns to his spooky roots in this one. Angel and Lewis are there, but provide scant comic relief to the doings beyond our comprehension. This is a backstory book; tells us where Charlie Parker came from.Barry
Barry:The Lovers by John Connolly
ahhh this makes me even more eager to get to this one!!!

[What did you think of Look again? Gave me lots to think about whether I would call the number if I saw the number or not, I KNOW I wouldn't do have the things the journalist did, that is why it got a 3 from me. If she didnt do so many stupid things it would of been higher.
