Adrian found his way home from the bar rather quickly. He didn't want to stay out if there wasn't a point to it, he wondered if his father would be up waiting for him to get home. He unlocked the back door and went in, he was met with silence, which was nothing knew, he was also met with darkness. He breathed a sigh of relief and put his keys on the hook beside the door. He shucked off his boots and made his way upstairs in his socks. Adrian pushed the door open to his bedroom and went straight to his bed fully clothed and passed out.

The next morning Adrian awoke to being shook, he looked at his attacker bleary eyed. His father stared back at him with that judging look he had when he disapproved of something. Adrian rose a brow as to say What. His father started signing, What are you doing with your life? Going out by yourself, staying out till all hours of the night? You're deaf my son, you need to be here, with me. If you need to go out I'll go with you. Adrian laughed in silence, his chest moving with the action. He sat up and started signing furiously to his father, You think I want you he poked his father in the chest going with me out? Like a little boy not able to even cross the street by himself? That's not how I will live my life. I can function just like anyone else, I don't to hear to be a person. He started pushing his father out of his room. His face twisted with anger and remorse. His father looked at him with pity right before Adrian slammed the door in his face. Adrian washed up and got a new change of clothes on. He was not going to be in this house any longer with his father going on like he was. He stormed out without a real destination in mind yet.
