Except from the obvious choices already mentioned :D I have to say that I loved all books in Wolha Redna series series, they start with
. I don't know if they were tranlated to English but if you can get your hands on these - do it :) I loved vampires created by the author - completely different that what you usually "see". And the heroine is simply great.

I love the mortal instruments, and infernal devices series! I also really like the shadow falls, divergent, and hunger games series!
Hands down Harry Potter. That will forever more be my first and only love! I would kill for J.K Rowling to write another book. I guess i'll stick to some fan fiction instead! Other than Harry Potter, out of my recent reads I really liked the Divergent series by Veronica Roth. I thought the story line was very unique and the author did an exceptional job painting a picture of the world that they live in. I am currently on A Dance with Dragons by G.R.R.M. I loved the television series and the book is just superb, the plot is so detailed and complex. Now, this book takes longer than most to get into the groove of it probably because of the overwhelming number of different characters.
