These stupid people are the same as "they", as in "They all say the Mayor of London is really a joker."
Rather than detractors of the Mayor of London we were hoping for more specificity in defining the stupid people like: if these stupid people who make Clive's Clove Cluster Cleanser had a clue about cleaning they'd know it's abrasive donkey poo.But we believe in Freedom of Complaint so a generality is okay as in: if those stupid people who post comments I don't like on the Internet had two brain cells to rub together I'd be surprised.
These stupid people who think Clive's Clove Cluster Cleanser is likely to do a single thing for them are probably stupid enough to mistake the proprietor of said Clive's Clove Cluster Cleanser™ for the infamous author of Sahara, which makes a better alliteration.
I quite upset we don't have Clive's Clove Cluster Cleanser™ in the Everwending Story and Clive Cussler too.
These stupid people just don't understand that you can't just call anybody a monkey slut!
It's something you gotta earn the right to be.It's a friend for life really.Does anyone know what I'm saying?

Yes Beck, I understand you are saying you can't just call anybody a monkey slut! It's something you gotta earn the right to be. It's a friend for life really.
I have never called anyone a monkey slut if it comforts you to know some of us are not misusing the designation of the epithetical appellation.

Hi Jamie, most if not all the guys here who are of legal age are gay including the moderators and most all the women here are readers of gay love stories so you won't have any problem in the Complaint Department having people accept and understand that you are bi and proud. We are proud to have you as a member.
I'm glad to be here, Preston. Thanks for being so welcoming of my orientation. It's been a hard process of finding out to be bi but I'm happy that I've found out earlier than later in my life.
Jamie wrote: "These stupid people just don't understand that I am and proud to be bi."It certainly increases your dating pool options. ;)
M/M Romance was developed out of manga for female readers. It's origins and it's current audience is intended for females. It is meant to meet the needs of a female readership's emotional and psychological sensibilities and not ever intended to be reality based.People who criticize M/M Romance because it does not represent real gay men do not understand that gay male readers are interlopers in a straight female driven genre. It was never intended to be real.
If the writers and readers who like M/M Romance use fantasy situations like gay-for-you or chick-with-a-dick which do not exist in real life love lives of gay men there is no reason to criticize these creative inventions. There was never any pretense in M/M romances to begin with that these stories were any more real life than the bodice rippers of Harlequin romance books that are sold in grocery stories.
The M/M writers did not capture and corrupt gay fiction. Gay fiction love stories still exists as it always did: one to three books if lucky on a bookstore shelf. There never was a large volume of gay male love stories published and there never was a large gay male readership of gay love stories.
If you are as gay male and happen to enjoy some M/M romance books that is fine. But do not criticize M/M romance which is a fantasy women's genre because there are fantasies or inaccuracies about the real lives of gay men. Real life was not the origin or current purpose of M/M romance.
M/M Romance is not usurping real life gay stories. If you want real life gay stories, read gay fiction. There will not be much of it to read, there never was.
Preston wrote: "M/M Romance was developed out of manga for female readers. It's origins and it's current audience is intended for females. It is meant to meet the needs of a female readership's emotional and psych..."What Preston said!
Romance (little "r" romance, not capital "R" Romance) is, in and of itself, a form of fantasy and originated out of the same genre that spawned science fiction, fantasy, mystery and westerns. To ever see it as a realistic slice of life is to take it entirely out of context. M/M romance is a subgenre of romance and in some ways is even more a fantasy than realistic.
That's not to say that there are not authors who try to give a realistic view of what it means to be gay in this day and age (or even in a historical context (D. Gabaldon's Lord John Grey series comes to mind)), but do women, no matter how well intentioned, really have insight on what it's like to be a gay male? Even the men who have written in the genre - are they bowing to demands of the genre or are their books more authentic in view point? I have wondered.
I just want to be crazy, positive, really loud, outgoing, energetic and just me like Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄ƷTɪɴᴀᴛʜ Zᴀᴇʙᴀ~Ɲσтнιηg Ɩєfт ωσятн ѕανιηg is but I'm not like that yet so I'm complainging.

These stupid people just don't understand that this road is mine, damnit. Why are all these people on my friggin road? Get off my road! Yea, I might have a bit of a road rage problem.
Welcome to the Complaint Department Glen. I thought the road was mine too, but you win from shear vehemence. 8)

Although that had absolutely nothing to do with this thread.
These stupid people just don't understand that they cannot just ignore history. For example how many people have ignored the 1993 event when Garry Hoy, a 38-year-old lawyer in Toronto, Canada, fell to his death on 9th of July after he threw himself against a window on the 24th floor of the Toronto-Dominion Centre in an attempt to prove to a group of visitors that the glass was "unbreakable," a demonstration he had done many times before. The glass did not break, but popped out of the window frame, and Hoy fell to his death.
These stupid people just don't understand that... Posting a review where they write how the book ends and don't warn about it or use spoilers really DO spoil all the fun for those who just started the book.
Same goes for blurbs that explain how the previous book in the series ended.
-.-'

ditto
These stupid people just don't understand that just because a person is different doesn't mean you can tease them for it.
If you haven't read any books about bullying I recommend that you ask the group (post it in the main Complaints section) for recommendations for books that might help you.
These stupid people just don't understand that it doesn't matter your "opinion", religion or upbringing. being trans, including nb, is REAL, and valid, and shouldnt be up for "debate". ugh. the comments online, make me want to fall asleep and never wake up.
Wren (He or They) wrote: "These stupid people just don't understand that it doesn't matter your "opinion", religion or upbringing. being trans, including nb, is REAL, and valid, and shouldnt be up for "debate". ugh. the com..."You're right, they don't understand in part because, I think (this is just my opinion) they don't have the basis for understanding. It's like trying to explain the lack of sexual/romantic attraction/desire to an allosexual (someone who does feel attraction/desire for others). They don't get it because the very lack of something most people think of as automatic and essential to human interaction is unimaginable to them. And a lot of people really don't want to understand because it would require them to actually using reasoning facilities which probably atrophied as soon as they got out of school.
Lori S. wrote: "Wren (He or They) wrote: "These stupid people just don't understand that it doesn't matter your "opinion", religion or upbringing. being trans, including nb, is REAL, and valid, and shouldnt be up ..."thats true.
A lack of open-mindedness probably doesn't help either
I just don't get why people pick on these things though. It doesn't hurt you to not understand. Just leave it be
**rant alert**
Thats like when on twitter a while ago somw famous lady i dont remember who, tweeted that while asexuals were only 1% of the population, that was still too much. What an ignorant, rude comment towards people who aren't even hurting anyone, bothering anyone, etc.
And then with trans people, people intentionally misgender and disrespect us and I don't get it, because we aren't hurting anyone. You don't have to get it, you don't have to understand it. I'm not gonna lie, as a bi/pan person I don't understand how gender/sex would ever figure into a person's choice of partner, hence I don't get monosexual people, but these people know who they are, and they aren't hurting anyone, and so I respect that I don't have to understand. I just need to respect it.
But I guess people think that if they don't fully understand something then they don't have to have respect, and that somehow they're entitled to an "opinion" on whether or not people are legit when I have spent so muxh time crying and depressed and afraid over this. When I am well aware of the potential discrimination and hate.
It might seem small and insignificant, a little comment on the internet left by an ignorant stranger, but what about the people in their life? What if someone is trans/asexual/etc? How will they suffer? Do they disrespect these people in real life too? What about the fragile person who reads these comments and sits there crying because it just affirms that many don't, and won't, understand or respect it?
These stupid people just don't understand that their words can feel like a punch in the gut, that you don't need to understand to be respectful of something which doesn't even hurt you. It just makes me so angry
