Sauron: Sauron is of the same race as Gandalf and Saruman. He is the most powerful of them, and had ran Mordor for a good thousand years after the death of his master: Morgoth. He currently holds the title of dark lord. He wields thee different weapons. A hammer, forged from the shadows, a mace, which he used in war, and a ring, which controlls more than most men could possibly imagine. The ring holds saurons powers and essence, he did this under the possibility that he foresaw his own death. It holds his soul, or what his essence really is. If you destroy the ring, it will be returned to his body, and he will regain most of his lost powers. If you destroy his body, only the ring will be left, and his essence will wander.

Ungolianth: The spider god, and devourer of mountains. Ungolianth is the great spider of legend, and the mother of Shelob. It is said that she was the one to devour one of the great trees, alongside Morgoth. Ungolianth is terrible in power, and literally sent Melkor screaming in agony during the time his powers were taken away, this sent out a horde of balrogs; great demons formed in the ancient age to save him, and Ungolianth slew many of them, albeit Morgoth escaped, and joined forces later on.

Morgoth: Morgoth.. He is the lord of darkness, and the god of all evil. He is the origional dark lord, and the Satan figure of the lord of the rings. He created the great balrog demons as his servants, and had brought destruction upon middle earth since the beginning. His powers are ungodly. It is said that his essence still lives, trapped and banished within the Door of Night in the beginning and end of time. The prophecy says that Melko, shall rise an arguement with the sun and moon, and they shall bring in Morgoth to defeat each other, and as this happens, all of the world will be wrapped in darkness, and he shall return.

Gothmog: Gothmog is the king of Balrogs, and one of Morgoths Generals in his great army. Gothmog is powerful, the equivalent of fifty balrogs together. He can smash a mountain with his hand, and bring destruction upon those who deem it so. Gothmog was perhaps most infamous for slaying Fëanor, the High King of the Ñoldor himself, in the Dagor-nuin-Giliath (Battle-under-Stars) in the opening days of the First Age. The Lord of Balrogs reappeared as a general of Angband in several more major conflicts, including the Dagor Aglareb (The Glorious Battle) and the Nirnaeth Arnoediad (Battle of Unnumbered Tears). It is noteworthy that while locked in single combat against Fingon near the climax of the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, Gothmog was unable to overcome the High King until another Balrog came up behind Fingon and "cast a throng of steel about him," after which Gothmog slew the High King. He also captured Húrin, father of Túrin Turambar at the end of the Arnoediad.
As his forces laid siege to Turgon's Hidden City of Gondolin, Gothmog himself set foot inside the city's walls. There, he was confronted by Ecthelion of the Fountain, and the two fought a duel to the death. Knocking Ecthelion's sword out of his hands, Gothmog prepared to strike at him but, as he raised his axe, Ecthelion ran forward at the Balrog lord, ramming his pointed helmet into the beast's chest and forcing both of them off a ledge into a river below.

The waters quenched the flames of Gothmog that kept him alive and drowned Ecthelion, ending the Battle of Gondolin. But Gothmog survived, and left to the highlands in the north, hiding from Morgoth due to his failures. Little did he know that Morgoth was defeated himself, but still he sleeps, awaiting the fool who dare awaken his slumber.
