Your test begins.

You see a knife and a hunk of cheese laid out on a table in front of you. Which will you choose?

-knife
-cheese
-none

Josie | 177 comments Mod
Knife

message 3: by Carley (new) - added it

Carley could you pick both? i mean i know it's not in the book but that doesn't mean it hasn't been done before.

Josie | 177 comments Mod
Haha, if none means Divergent then both probably means Factionless......

message 5: by Carley (new) - added it

Carley or divergent, there are different ways to be divergent, seriously think about it, they cant kick you out of the factions for choosing both and that would be the logical thing to do cuz if you didn't read the book you would have no idea what you would have to be prepared for. it's actually a logical answer

Josie | 177 comments Mod
True, but what would you do with both. If you sought to ward off the dog, wouldn't you use one or the other in the process?

Camille (chammille) | 71 comments Mod
The person tells you in your simulation to pick one! Lol

Josie | 177 comments Mod
KNIFE!!!

message 9: by Carley (new) - added it

Carley I'm guessing it would either go to the dog stimulation and you could choose to kill the dog or use the cheese or it would go to a different stimulation entirely i personally don't know never actually having taken the test.

message 10: by Carley (new) - added it

Carley i would take both til she told me what would happen! She's making me miffed.

Josie | 177 comments Mod
Well, "she" is Camille and she's telling you to choose ONE. SO DO IT!!!

message 12: by Carley (new) - added it

Carley not til i get an answer

Okay, as soon as you pick one item up, the other one will disappear. So you have to pick one or none xD

message 14: by Carley (new) - added it

Carley Fine, the cheese

message 15: by Carley (new) - added it

Carley i probably wouldn't be able to stab anything anyway

Lol, okay

The dog enters the room. What will you do? (Free response)

Carley give it the cheese. I LOVE dogs.

You transition to a different setting. You are on a bus, and the man in front of you is reading a newspaper. The head line is "Brutal Murderer." He turns to you and asks if you know the man in the picture. He says if you know who he is, you can save him (the man you are talking to) from being framed. You do, in fact, know the man in the picture. What do you tell him?

I will stab the dog. I could make it come at me and get it as it runs by.

Where do you stab the dog? (Erudite confirmation question)

message 22: by Carley (new) - added it

Carley I would tell him I know the man, he doesn't deserve to die cuz I'm to selfish to save his life.

Wait, admitting you know the man shows signs of selflessness, just to clarify

message 24: by Carley (new) - added it

Carley okay doke

Right now, you are Divergent; you show signs of Amity, Candor, and Abnegation. Do you want to go on with another scenario and eliminate two factions ?

message 26: by Carley (new) - added it

Carley sure

Okay, your best friend is in trouble. In order to protect him, you need to lie for him. If you are found out, there can be serious consequences. If you don't lie for him, his life will be endangered, and if he does live through it, he will never speak to you again. What will you do?

message 28: by Carley (new) - added it

Carley Duh, protect him

Camille (chammille) | 71 comments Mod
Carley wrote: "Duh, protect him"

Finally, you are in a desert. You are down to your last bottle of water, good for one person. Your friend is really thirsty, but so is a little kid who looks like he's dying of dehydration. Who do you give the water to?

message 30: by Carley (new) - added it

Carley the kid who's about to die, if he's really my friend he won't hold a grudge for helping someone in need

Your results are a tie between Amity and Abnegation, but your answer for the last scenario brings you a bit closer to Abnegation (:

I stab the dog in the chest or throat idealy, but I guess whatever works in the moment.

Leslie | 8 comments I would choose the cheese.

message 35: by Christina (new) - added it

Christina I choose cheese too.

message 36: by Bee (new) - rated it 5 stars

Bee I would grab the cheese, because let's be honest, I'm probably hungry. When the dog shows up, I'm staring that jerk down cause it's a sign of dominance and if that don't work, this girl is throwing the cheese and backing away slowly cause I don't want it chasing me alright

I would probably be like "Dude I know him but how the heck does that help you?

Okay yeah I'm reviving this thread!
