I read this book a few years ago and loved it to pieces. For an extended review, please visit my blog: http://tesatorul.blogspot.ro/2008/01/...
I see it is a part of series. I was wondering if they are separate books in a universe or need to be read in order.

Proof that the universe is capable of good things. This is, hands down, one of my favorite science fiction novels of the 1990s. I'm pleased to see it coming back into print. That it is part of the SF Masterworks series is even more cause for celebration.
