I am abit further than the end of week two's reading. Can you say specifically what upsets you with Geder? I think I have an idea.

That's quite an awesome turn out. Not pleasant, but excellently played. And so far, the character of Geder is the one changing the most, with a very interesting path he's walking. I have to admit that I was looking more and more in reading his chapters and then, bang! The last one (of this week I mean)!

I agree with you. I was getting a really good "Tyrion Lannister" vibe from him and so I was grinning away, expecting some suitably cunning and intelligent political solution to his situation . . . and then he locks everyone in the city and burns it to the ground!!!!!
A real "WTF??!???!?!?", jaw-dropping moment! :O
Starr wrote: "It was horrible. It was bold. It was awesome but,.....I don't think he thought it through"I would agree: I don't think it will have the effect that he hoped for. Plus, it was down right evil . . . I am rethinking my liking of this guy! :(
Geder is going to need years of therapy, if no one slits his throat on the march back to Camnipol. Also, all those jerks who played rude tricks on him, used him, bullied him - now they will have to wonder what they created and, perhaps if they have a strong sense of self-preservation, will the new monster be coming for them.

I can sort of understand why he reacted that way, he has been bullied for so long he felt he had to strike back but talk about going too far. Way too far!
