My novel "Britannia's Wolf", the first in the Dawlish Chronicles series, the second of which is due around year's end, moves the historical naval genre forward by some seventy years from the era so well covered by Forester, O'Brian and other authors. The central character, Nicholas Dawlish, is and ambitious young Royal Navy officer in the era of transition from sail to steam and Britannia's Wolf finds him on secondment to the Turkish Navy as the Russo-Turkish War of 1877/78 reaches is savage climax. If you want a tale with a resourceful hero, a resolute heroine, some very doubtful allies and some of the most unpleasant enemies one could hope for then this is the book for you!Britannia's Wolf: The Dawlish Chronicles: September 1877 - February 1878 Antoine Vanner
