cool. i've only met like one other person who's actually heard of them. *facepalm* what songs of theirs do you like?

I've heard of them, and listened to a couple songs before…not a crazy huge fan of the style, though.

I just can't listen to this song without getting depressed about Amanda Todd. It's a good song, though. :(

Looked up Amanda Todd on Wikipedia. Didn't cry. I'm actually really fascinated by that kind of stuff -- motives for suicide, I mean.

Hm.

I feel a little heartless because I don't think I had the same emotional response as most other people. I just watched it and thought, "This is amazing. This girl has the guts to say all this and tell the world about what she went through."

And…I really would have liked to meet her. :/ Especially when she started talking about the guilt she felt after her topless photo was circulated on the Internet. I would've loved to chat with her about how she felt at that point and do what I could to help her, y'know?

Just…fascinating. That's kinda what I'm thinking right now. I'm also really curious what some of those people who bullied her thought after this video went viral. I mean, they probably thought she deserved it (there are several YouTubers that post awful comments as I write this), but I wonder if it helped fix anyone's habit of causing emotional harm to others.

I guess I just have a harder time connecting with it the way others do because I understand her angle a little more. I haven't been bullied like her, but I've been in that position where I don't know if breathing is worth the effort, when the only thing that keeps me moving forward is a whimper with every step I take, when that medicine cabinet seemed too inviting.

So…I understand her hopeless feelings, I guess. And it's really interesting to hear others' stories about how they coped/didn't cope with it.

I know. The ending where she says that she needs someone. It broke my heart.

I'll be honest here and say that even though this makes me sound like the world's biggest I probably wouldn't have been friends with her. I would have been afraid to, for what it would do to my reputation. It's horrible, but I just want to be honest. If I knew her and found out she wanted to commit suicide I would have tried to help her, though.

I think they probably were glad she killed herself. People are so cruel. But I bet a few feel guilt. I hope they do. I don't know if it will make a difference, people don't believe that words can kill, until they do. :(

I'm also very interested in why Miss Todd used that particular song at the beginning. I think that's kinda fascinating.

I don't even remember. I think on an online article or something. Maybe I just stumbled upon it.

I'm really surprised it didn't show up in my research of teen suicide last spring. I had two friends commit suicide a year-and-a-half ago (actually one suicide and one overdose, but the latter was on purpose as well), so I was very interested in the psychology behind those actions. You'd think Todd would show up in my search.

Yeah, her suicide was subject to a lot of media attention. I'm sorry about your friends. D:

It's alright. I'm mostly over it now. I didn't know one of them very well, but the other one…well, we got along really well.

Sooooo…music. Sam, I have a recommendation for you before I shower and take my evening nap. (I hate schedules with a burning passion, and being strict with this one is so important and it sucks.)
