"Never tried that," Selene said, entering the establishment.
"Understandably. When you mix cake and ice cream together, there's no way it could backfire."
"Indeed. Unless your cake was made with spinach. Which I wouldn't understand at all," he interjected. "Well, what do you want?" he asked, pulling out his wallet.
"That's ok, I can pay for myself." She said.
"Don't care. I asked you to come with, and you did. Now, I'm paying. What do you want?" he asked again.
"Cookie dough," She sighed, "Thank you."
"Well, I'm sure you'll get over it when you get your ice cream," Drake said, handing it to her and handing money to the cashier.
"Ice cream does fix everything." She agreed.
"So..." Selene said, walking towards a table.
"Which cohort are you in?" She asked, making conversation.
"Third," She replied, doing the same.
"Eavesdropping," She said calmly, "It takes up a lot of my time."
"Do you have any?" Selene asked.
"You'd think a son of Jupiter would be a lot more... sparky."
She nodded, "I can tell." She said, "But low-charged is better than uptight."
"I find that hard to believe." Selene said doubtfully.
((G'night!))
"Do you think I'll ever see that?" Selene asked.
"Do you think I'll ever see that?" Selene asked.
Selene crunched on her cone, "So..." She said, at a loss for words.
"Training, tactics, a lot of drills..." She listed, "What about in the first?"
"And you get the best warriors." Selene added.
"The Romans aren't known for being fair."
"You're very... relaxed." Selene noted.
"That could be detrimental during a battle, though."
She winced, picturing the son of Jupiter zapping enemies on the battlefield.
Drake tilted his head to the side. "Am I really all that scary?" he wondered aloud. The others cowered in fear when he was angry, so he supposed he might be.
"To your enemies, I bet. To the rest of us? I'd say intimidating because of your father, but not scary exactly."
