Greetings! I'm Amy. I love to read and I am challenging myself to read more this year. My hope is that by joining a book club and/or being able to have discussions about books with others reading the same books that I will be able to stay engaged and keep reading! I teach second grade. I volunteer as the finance manager for a non-profit that uses parallels from Harry Potter and other stories to motivate young adults toward social action and activism (www.thehpalliance.org). I also love to hike the state parks.

Hmmm.... If you haven't read the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series, you have not lived! :) I also love the books Jane Eyre, A Wrinkle in Time, and Pride and Prejudice. I am a classics and Greek mythology person! :)

I haven't, but I think it's on my to read list. I have a never ending to read list. XD You can never read too many books! Today, someone asked me if I wanted to hang out somewhere where I was comfortable, and I said Barnes and Noble! Bahahaha! My book nerd was showing all over the place! XD

lol! Oh, just wait,.... I'm home schooled, so I'm like the double geek! I'll try to talk to kids about books and they'll just look at me like that and say, "I don't read." I just walk away. XD
