I need to PAY ATTENTION to the size of ebooks. When I pick up a 670 odd page book that information helps my choice process - do I feel THAT intrigued?. The Magus is just such a book, watching the little %read icon stand still and the hours remaining till finished has been hard. 25% to go - and where it will go is a mystery as I feel like I'm in the midst of the climax..
So far it's surprisingly accessible. My own prejudices or preconceptions showing! I had wondered with the author being a Swedish Nobel Laureate discussing the crucifixion (1950 pub) whether the writing style might give me grief - or perhaps a frown - pursed lips even - a headache? - reaching for my trusty reading aid (wine)! But no, and I'm enjoying it.Anthony must have had a gift for canny script selection or a good agent to have had him front and centre in such a wide range of movies. I'm not yet half way through the list I've nutted out.
