Reapings! Start when you please!

Dawn was walking around watching as the kids filled the place, wondering who'd be the ones that she'd have to work with, sizing everyone up, as if she was still in the arena. This one of the few times when she didn't mind being surrounded by too many people, in the Reapings.

Escort: "Welcome, welcome!" I call happily.

Escort: "Welcome, to the Annual Hunger Games!" I say, smiling widely at the crowd. "Now, let me welcome our mayor!" I say brightly, as the mayor comes forth and reads his speech.

Dawn frowned and just stood where she was, eager to get to the part when the tributes were chosen and then be off to the Capitol. They had good food on the train.

Jason signed in then came to his place for the reaping. He smiled at his nervous girlfriend. She brightened up when he did.

Lyric waited anxiously for the reaping to start, drumming her fingers against her leg.

Escort: When the mayor finishes his speech, I step forward and beam at the crowd, showing off the diamonds I just recently had embedded in my upper teeth. "Hello, my friends from District Four! A lovely day for the Reaping, is it not?"

Jason laughs at the Escorts false enthusiasm.

"Anyway, now it's what you've all been waiting for! The selection of the boy and girl tributes!" I cry enthusiastically, heading towards the girls' bowl of names.

I carefully reached my gloved hand into the Reaping ball and select a slip, taking it out with a flourish. "Lyric Carp! Do we have a Lyric Carp in the crowd?" I announce happily.

Lyric; I can almost feel the shocked expression on my face as the people around me move away and I stumble forwards towards the stage.

Dawn couldn't help but to look around for the first tribute. Another previous winner of the Hunger Games was next to her watching too.

"And here we go..." He said patting Dawn's shoulder.

"Next up we have Miss Marina Eveline Covaci! Please join us onstage!" I cry, having already retrieved a second slip from the bowl.

Escort: "And our boy tribute is..." I shuffle over to the boys' bowl. "Jason Ocrid! Congratulations to all our tributes this year!"

Jason walks slowly to the stage his face downcast. He didn't dare to look at his family. It would just kill him.

((*Goodbyes*))

Escort: "Onto the train, dearies! You will have SO much fun in the Capitol!" I exclaim excitedly.

Dawn sighed and went for her stuff. "I'll miss you guys. Hope to see you soon." She told her family and her friend.
