Books Made Me Broke discussion

1. That one day there'll be an earthquake and my bookshelves will fall and kill me.

2. I'll order a book online and it WON'T COME.

3. One day one of my dogs will chew and tinkle on my books.

4. One day I'll forget how to read.

5. I'll be forced to read more of Ellen Schreiber's books besides the Full Moon series...

6. I'll be stranded on a desert island with no reading material besides a cookbook.

So what are your biggest book fears?

Lol yeah that is a legitimate fear.

I already had my dog chew on a book I. Junior high. Mom had to pay for it and the library didn't want it so I got to keep it. Oh darn! ;)
That fear had a happy ending for me.

Don't really have book fears. Maybe my cats knocking over the bookcase one day? They are crazy.

I'm not exactly afraid of anything regarding my books. Maybe that someone will brutally murder me with my bookcase, but I don't know... seems highly unlikely (in modern times, my town has had ONE murder, and that was 50 years ago)

Maybe that something will happen to my first edition Harry Potter DH. I think I will cry. But for me, books are material things, and I don't really need them.

I had a terrifying health scare a couple of years ago, something went wrong with my brain and when I was not 90% blind (vision was full of stars with just a tiny spot I where I could see) I found I could not read, the white of the paper overwhelmed the text, and i could not make my eyes move along the line, it was like they were stuck in one spot. I am better now although I still struggle with black on white text sometimes. I am afraid of a repeat of that!

That's absolutely terrible. :(

My biggest fear is that my house will catch on fire in a freak accident and all my books will burn. I would grab my Harry Potters if I was there, but if not, it would be bad news bears.

My biggest fears

1. My room with catch on fire and my books will burn
2. I live in the basement so I'm scared there will be a flood and my books will get ruined.
3. When I lend a book to someone, it will come back wrong somehow (ie: Folded pages, stains, smelly, dirty). That's why I almost never lend books out
4. If I lend a book out, the person will lose it.

My biggest fear related to books is that I'll lose my sight somehow and not be able to read them anymore! :O
