Thomas started changing into a bear, but it was alittle delayed. His anger gave him power. When he broke free he roared." Your dead meat little brother." He shook off the ice, and charged at the door. It started splintering immedeitly. He crashed into it one more time, and it landed on the floor. He changed back to human." No more powers. I just wanted to tell you something."
" And then you can tell him why I had to break it down." Thomas said, glaring at him." Marc." He sighed, calming down.
" If you call me that again, I'll break your arm." Thomas growled. He glared down at Marcus and grinned." Saw' Sammy and Lizzy."
" They miss us, and their mad at you for not being at the hangout." Thomas said that last part quieter, in case any adults were close by.
"I'll go tomorrow and leave them a note if I can get away." Marcus said "But if I can't tell them I miss them too."
" Oh no. I ain't your messenger. Your going with me." Thomas crossed his arms. He suddenly remembered something. He reached into his pocket, and took out a piece of paper. He handed it to his brother." Lizzy said to give it to you. I got one too."
(( They were drawings of them, Tommy and Marc.))
(( They were drawings of them, Tommy and Marc.))
"Pretty, I'll just put them in my scrapbook!" Marc said laughing. The 'Scrapbook' was a note book that he had been sticking random stuff in. Pictures of their family from their Dad's wallet, drawings Lizzy had done, and other odds and ends.
Thomas laughed." K, little brother." He wished his sister's could come to the camp. He got an idea
" You wanna see them?" Thomas asked.
" Our sweet little sisters. Do you want to see them, in like five minutes?" Thomas had a smile on his face.
"How? Is Lizzy going to teleport or something? You know if she gets caught they will be in big trouble." Marcus said crossing his arms.
" Not here. Can you trust me, or are you gonna wimp out?" Thomas asked.
" Good. Come on." Thomas said, smiling." It won't take long." He headed outside.
((I'm back))
"Well let's just go before we get caught." Marcus said standing up and walking out the door,
"Well let's just go before we get caught." Marcus said standing up and walking out the door,
" Thank you." Thomas headed for the border.
Finn trotted in behind Kian and gently shut the door behind him. Each boy had there own room, and Finn's was towards the end of the hallway. "Want a drink?" he asked, heading towards his room.
"That would be great, I'm a bit thirsty after walking in the woods." Kian nodded and followed Finn to his room.
"Cool," he said, opening up the door to his room. It was neat and tidy as always, every thing in it's place. Finn wandered over to his small fridge that he fixed up and opened it. He trusted Kian to find his seat- he had been in Finn's room enough to know where everything was, even without Keda. "I've got water and a few apple juice boxes left," he said. "Which do you prefer?"
Kenner walked into the dorms and made his way over to the room he an Kian shared, there was enough space for them to have separate rooms but with all that was going on he liked to be close to his brother.
"I'm fine with water thanks." Kian said taking a seat on the floor next to the bed. Keda laid down beside him.
Finn nodded and grabbed two bottles of water. He grabbed a small plastic bowl and poured half of one water bottle into it. He walked over and handed one to Kian, and put the bowl next to Keda. Finn sat a few meters back from Kian and took off his shirt, pouring the half empty bottle of water down his back and freezing it along his scars. He sighed happily with relief. He always felt safe to do this around Kian- he couldn't judge him for it.
Kian "saw" the motions and even though he couldn't see them he knew about the scars on Finn's back. The beasts had hurt all of them and Kian knew that, just some worse than others. He took a long drink of water and found himself absentmindedly petting Keda.
Finn sat down on the ground cross legged and let the ice cool him down. "So, how is your brother? Training going well?" he said, striking up conversation.
"Oh Kenner is just fine. He seems to really like it here, you know, considering the circumstances. Training is okay, how about your training?" Kian asked. Honestly he hated training with Kenner. Kenner had always treated him like he had a disability and babied him which could get pretty annoying. The beasts weren't going to baby him
"That's good that he's adjusting. As for my training, it's going well. I'm getting faster at least with my strikes. Defence is good, but it's harder to practice against an invisible opponent. And for my abilities.. I've been okay. I need to work on calming myself when stressed." he sighed. He was an unusually calm person, but when he was stressed, it was like lighting a fuse. A fuse that could turn every water cell in his body into ice without thinking.
"My abilities are working perfectly which has made it a lot easier to find my way around camp. I barely even need Keda to show me around anymore." Kian said "and I'm glad to here your training is going well for the most part. Just keep focusing on staying calm and I'll bet you will be one of the best kids here."
"That's great news! I'm glad you're being accustom to everything!" Finn smiled, very impressed that Kian was much farther in his abilities' technique than he was. "And I know I just need to keep trying. But I get sort of anxious easily. And as for being one of the best out there, I doubt it." he said, blushing a little in modesty.
"You shouldn't doubt yourself, once you gain complete control of your abilities you will be amazing. As for me I sort of have to be developing my abilities. Otherwise I would barely be able to move five inches without hitting something or someone." Kian explained jokingly. He had of course been able to manage before his abilities kicked in but it was so
Much easier now.
Much easier now.
"I guess you do get a bit more practice than I do," Finn smiled sheepishly. He liked talking to Kian- he was honest about everything and wasn't ashamed or angry about his blindness, but rather just accepted it. "And if I ever manage to get control of my abilities, I won't have to worry too much about turning into a giant popsicle by mistake ever again. God, I won't miss that." he groaned. He hated when that happened- it was so humiliating.
"I know right?" Finn laughed. He touched his back lightly, felling the still frozen ice on his shoulder blades and on the small of his back. "It does have it's good points though." he said with a smile. "I never have to worry about getting too hot ever again."
"Sounds pretty good. I would love to have some cool ability like yours, you know minus the whole Popsicle piece..." Kian said thinking. While his sonar abilities were helpful, they just brought him equal with normal seeing people. Sometimes he wished he had an ability that would actually be useful in a fight.
"Are you kidding? Your powers are sweet!" Finn yelped back. "You're like a superhuman or something! I bet you have a better reaction time than any of us here!"
"Not really... I can just 'see' out of the back of my head unlike the rest of you. I guess that could be helpful if I happen to be 'looking' when someone tries to sneak up on me." Kian said. He liked to use his abilities when he was moving around but when he was sitting down like this he gave them a rest so right now he had no clue what was going on. He checked every once in a while but nothing was really changing.
"Trust me, I would give anything to be able to 'see' all around me," Finn said sombrely. A few flash backs to his nightmares and he shook it off. No- he wasn't going there today. "But I guess it's all perspective, hmm?" he said, leaning back a bit, using his hands to prop himself up.
"I guess..." Kian muttered trailing off. He thought back to when a best had attacked while he was on guard. If he hasn't been able to 'see' he would probably have been killed, or at least injured.
Finn decided that they needed a change of subject and scooted a bit closer to Keda, rubbing his belly and giving him a lot of love. "How long have you had Keda anyways? You two seem really tight."

Before the ed of the world, this building was used for apartments. It was half destroyed, but they managed to fix it up. The newly fixed building was a third of what it used to be.
