However, with a layer of dirt covering his visage or a splatter of blood on his jacket from the missions he goes on throughout the day, it can sometimes be hard to tell. Landon himself has never really prided himself in his appearance or gone out of his way to make sure people notice him for it. Really, he thinks he’s pretty average looking with his dark brown hair and normal green eyes. However, it’s really his normalness that lets him be attractive. ↳ One of Landon’s key traits is his vengefulness. The attribution is prominently derived from his childhood, the death of his sister at his brother’s hand mostly to blame. He hates most people who wrong him nowadays and tries his hardest to get back at them. Perhaps this isn’t a good thing since it leads to more conflict, but Landon just doesn’t care. In his mind, that’s justice. He believes that people should do unto others, not as they want done unto him or herself, but what has been done unto them in the past. Because of this, revenge comes easily to him and he even relishes in it. Nowadays, he simply takes out his vengeance on mutants who have done nothing more than be themselves. However, he still searches out his brother, just waiting until the moment arises and he can claim his life for his dead sister’s sake.

↳ Landon is arrogant to the core. He constantly believes he’s right and will fight to the death just to prove it if he really believes in it enough. Most things he can let go - like annoying little details that people bug him with - but he has a hard time admitting he’s wrong. In his mind, he’s always right and always will be despite how wrong that assumption is. This has gotten him into a bit of trouble in the past with his commanding officers or other authority figures as he does not like to be told what to do. Why should he when he thinks he’s so right about everything. To him, authority is just another way to bring him down and he won’t stand for it.

↳ A secret trait that Landon tends to keep hidden with layers of lies is his spite for others. While he does have friends and he cares for them in some way or another, it’s very easy for Landon to grow resentful of another person. With just one slip up, Landon can slowly begin the descent into disliking a person. His level of trust in others is very limited. This can be blamed, like his other traits, on his past. He doesn’t like to place his hopes in others because they tend to do wrong and let him down. He’d much rather rely on himself alone.

↳ Through all the bad qualities that Landon possesses, one shines through as a redemption: his courage. While he may not be the most honest or even nicest person in the world, he goes to the end of the earth to get what he wants for himself and the other people around him. It doesn’t matter what obstacles he has to overcome; Landon will take them head on regardless of the pain and suffering it may cause for himself. This ties in with his loyalty to others as he will never give up on someone if they don’t wrong him. He’ll be brave for them when they can’t be for themselves.

↳ Though it’s easy to believe that Landon is an open book, he really isn’t in the slightest. In fact, there are many things that he lies about just because he can. His past, his beliefs, his ideas - these are all things that he has lied about both in the past and in the present. It would appear that Landon can’t even go through one day without spurting out a lie somewhere in the midst. The reason for this is mostly because he doesn’t want anyone to know about him anyways. For Landon, things are just easier when they’re kept a secret. What people don’t know won’t hurt them just like it won’t hurt him.

↳ To anyone who doesn’t know him, Landon is just a normal BEE working in the city. He does his duties, doesn’t side with the mutants, and converses with his fellow comrades when he wants to. The only thing that may ever appear strange about him is his slight tendency to stray from orders. However, beneath all that normality is boy who just wants to get by with a slice of revenge. In his mind, things aren’t normal; they’re far from it. With mutants running amuck, he feels the world has tipped on its axis, sending the world spiraling out of control. He intends to fix that with revenge, slaughtering any and all mutants he lays hands on. If you’re one of these socially unaccepted freaks, hide yourself. If death doesn’t find you first, Landon surely will.

↳ Landon’s life has never been a walk in the park. Unlike his brother, Landon wasn’t the golden boy; he got into trouble, he fought back, he didn’t always get good grades. For Landon, things weren’t simple. In his early days, he’d lived in the shadow of his older brother, trying hard to make his own spotlight with the things he did. All he ever wanted was to be the child his parents wanted. But unfortunately, they never even noticed him. His brother, Luke, was always the one they gravitated to, praising him in his failure while scorning Landon in his mistakes. For him, it spelled out favoritism, but he couldn’t protest for that would only spell out worse treatment. So Landon stayed quiet.
It was when Annie, his little sister was born, that things started to pick up for Landon. He cared deeply for the little girl, taking care of her when others wouldn’t. He taught her things: how to spell her name, how to say ‘I love you’, how to do a number of things that blended into the millions. Landon truly saw himself as her guardian and Annie felt the same. Her older brother, Landon, was her saving grace, always there for her. The two were just as close, if not closer than the bond Luke thought he had with his brother. Luke didn’t understand how Landon felt - he thought they were the perfect friends - but Annie knew. She knew how Landon felt and she carried that burden with him. She kept his envious spirit a secret.
It was the idea of secrets that really drew an invisible wedge between Landon and his brother. When Landon turned ten, his brother eleven, Luke told him of the secret powers he’d been harboring and developing. He was telekinetic, able to form gravity and matter to his liking. Though he accepted his brother still and cared about him, Landon felt his jealous spark even more in that moment. In that moment, Landon realized he’d never be the better older brother; he would always be the lesser. But still, Landon didn’t speak a word of his feelings to his brother, not a word. He felt he didn’t need to know. This only held strong for a few more years.
Landon had just turned fifteen when his life flipped. One night, on the way back from picking up his sister from school with his brother, the three ran into trouble. They were approached by a gangly group of men, hoping to catch some unsuspecting victims. What they didn’t realize was that they just ran into a haphazardly telekinetic with extreme protection reflexes. Luke immediately took hold of the situation, his telekinesis spiraling out of control. Landon had stood back with his sister as objects whipped through the air without the consent of the elder brother. Landon barely had time to process what was happening before the inevitable occurred.
In the chaos, the two boys’ sister was injured. A knife had flown through the air, stuck in the turbulence of Luke’s powers, and thrown into her gut. Immediately, Landon knew what had happened. Annie’s breath flew out of her as she hit the ground, Landon’s eyes going wide. His feet carried him to her side, kneeling down as he looked to his little sister’s wound, the cut deep and protruding to her other side. As Luke continued to fight, oblivious to his actions, Landon felt himself die inside as his sister looked up at him with fear. Her eyes were wider than his, full of confusion and shock. She didn’t know what was happening for she was too young. Landon, on the other hand, knew full well that this was the end of his sister’s life.
“L-Landon..?” His little sister’s voice had cut through the silence as Luke finally finished off the fight. The older brother came by the two, but Landon wasn’t paying attention; his eyes were focused on Annie’s blue eyes as they glazed over, her last breath slipping out through her pursed lips. Amidst the shock and hurt that Landon felt in that moment, rage couldn’t help but flood his senses. “This is your fault.” Landon had hissed to his brother, green eyes flashing with anger. His next words spilled out, telling of how he hated his brother, how he never wanted to see him alive again. Dead would be better. Perhaps then Annie could get the justice she’d deserved. Landon told Luke to run, to get out of his sights. Before he knew what was happening, his brother did, running off into his own sorrow.
As his brother fled, Landon felt the anger slip away and replace with dread. It was hard for him to look down at his little sister’s unmoving body, his fingers coming up to close her eyelids in a last attempt to grant her peace. It was harder for him to bring her limp body home in his arms, the blood smearing on his shirt as he wept in front of his parents, their reaction the same as his. They were just as shocked and hurt as he was. They would have been more so if Landon had told her of their sons treachery, but he didn’t. Instead, he kept it bottled inside, blaming it on the men that had ambushed them. Maybe he didn’t tell them because he didn’t see the good it would do or maybe it was because he actually cared about his brother. But either way, Landon knew he’d never forgive them -- any of them. Luke, in his mind, was as good as dead.
In the years following Annie’s death, Landon grew from a little, jealous boy into a strong, confident man. He trained himself, preparing himself for the revenge against his brother that he sought. He would track him down and kill him, he wouldn’t hesitate. Upon turning the appropriate age, Landon entered himself into the BEEs, seeing it as a good way to hunt down his prey. He stumbled across him once, leaping into attack only to fail. Now, Landon is determined to make sure that won’t happen again. He’ll have his revenge; he knows it.
