I love this short quote from till we have faces "Who can feel ugly, when their heart feels joy"
And also I love from abolition of man
"We make men without chest and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh t honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful."
These are my two favorites: "Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one."
"In great literature, I become a thousand different men but still remain myself."
How can I choose a favorite??! I don't know! But here are two that I love.
“I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.”
“Be comforted, small one, in your smallness. He lays no merit on you. Receive and be glad.”
― Perelandra

"The Christian does not think God will love us because we are good, but that He will make us good because He loves us."
