Cinder smiled and thanked the woman behind the counter as she was handed the same things as Jesse. She had only ever had black coffee, and had a serious dislike for the stuff, but Jesse assured her Starbucks was delicious. She slid into her chair and smiled at Jesse before adverting her eyes to her coffee. "And you're sure this won't poison me?" Cinder asked, still eying the warm, creamy drink.
Cinder glanced up at Jesse with a smirk. "Oh, I'm sure I can handle a little heat." She chuckled, flames dancing on her fingertips. She glanced back down at the coffee and wrapped her hands around the cup. It warmed her already toasty hands and she lifted it hesitantly to her lips. It. Was. Amazing. "Oh my lord..." Cinder moaned at the delicious coffee taste. It was bittersweet-so much better than the plain old coffee. "This is magnificent!" She exclaimed, eliciting some glares and frowns from the other customers.
Cinder smiled at Jesse and took another sip of the coffee goodness. She then spied her slice of pie, and grinned. Still smiling, she swiped up a bit of the whipped-cream on her finger and plopped it onto Jesse's nose. She giggled at this, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink, her eyes bright.
Cinder couldn't stop grinning, even as she wiped the whipped-cream from her nose. "I don't think, Jesse boy, I know." Cinder said with another laugh. She licked off the whipped-cream and continued to grin at Jesse, her fingers sparking slightly.
Cinder scooped up and bit into the pie and nodded along with Jesse. The pie was nothing compared to the coffee. "I believe you're right." Cinder said with a small scowl at the pie. "I thought all pies were supposed to be delicious?" Cinder asked Jesse with a small smile.
Cinder followed after Jesse and tossed the bland pie into the garbage. A faint smile still playing on her lips, she headed out the door, her arm brushing Jesse. "Thank you, Jesse." Cinder said after she stepped out of the cozy coffee shop.
Cinder felt a shiver of delight as Jesse wrapped his arm around her shoulders. She wished he wouldn't have let go. Cinder smiled at his comment-she felt the same exact way. "I'm glad I met you too, Jesse." Cinder said, her lips quirked into a grin.
