I love this litte notebook, written between A Portrait and Ulysses. It's nice that it was published posthumously. Joyce didn't want it to be published in his lifetime (too much "dirty washing" as Anna Livia Plurabelle would say).

Has anyone else read it? I like that it's just Joyce emptying his thoughts without all the concern for mega-meta structure, overt language pyrotechnics, etc.

damn, i wouldn't know that answer to that question. it's not easy to find anymore. i remember when i saw it bookstores fairly often, but it's been a while since i've seen it in a shop.

you can always try abebooks.com - since it's a slim volume, you can probably find it for a low price.
