Sandra (sleo) | 1913 comments Sorry about the folder title! The name is too long and GR won't allow the full thing. Anyway, post here if you're planning to read this one. It sounds pretty good, and I may do it.

Daniel (dward526) Read this Novella in 2 days. Enjoyed it as a work of Contemporary Fantasy. If you enjoy Gaiman, you will like this work, as he remains true to form.

Elise (ghostgurl) | 1028 comments Just started today. I'm looking forward to finally reading a new adult novel by Gaiman :)

message 4: by Bev (new) - rated it 4 stars

Bev (greenginger) | 744 comments I really want to read this but I am put off by a) the price and b) the novella length.

Kristin (lysanor) I have the book ordered, so once it arrives, I'll start reading it.

Kelley (kelleyls) A friend sent it to me, so I got a head start. I finished this book in a flash. It is VERY good.

Agreed, I got mine at the library. A great read, but the price point is steep.

Sandra (sleo) | 1913 comments I'm listening to it. Got it with one of my Audible credits, but I agree the price is steep. Am enjoying it so far.

Lisa | 14 comments I'm on the waiting list at the library for this one. I've never read a Gaiman book. I can't wait to read my first one.

Elise (ghostgurl) | 1028 comments So far this book reminds me a little of Coraline

Lori Kenaga bush I read it in one night, easy read. There are times in the book I found myself heartbroken....which always a good sign that I'm into the characters. I would recommend.

Lára | 479 comments I´ll start listening to the audiobook tonight

Darren I read it in two days and really enjoyed it. It's a magical, nostalgic tale.

Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 1494 comments A lot of talk about this has me wanton

Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 1494 comments Shucks.... dang phone....

Jon (jonmoss) | 529 comments I probably won't get to this one this month.

message 17: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (jennyc89) I have the audio on loan from the library and plan on starting it as soon as I'm done with Deadlocked. I'm flying to California in a week, so maybe I'll listen to it then. I love Neil Gaiman & especially love it when he narrates his own books, so I can't wait!!

Lára | 479 comments It lulled me to sleep yesterday. I probably shouldn´t have listened to it from the bed. I´m still at 10%

Lára | 479 comments I´m having difficulties with Neil Gaiman´s last book,
The Ocean at the End of the Lane

I´ve tried listening to the audiobook:

1. lying in the bed (night),

and

2. sitting on the kitchen chair (in the middle of the sunny day) - and both times I´ve fallen asleep.
It´s a nice lullaby story, I have to admit that

It reminds me of Florence and Giles (4 stars) and Coraline (4 stars).
Nothing too special, or original, so far, I´m afraid.

If I fall asleep one more time, it goes on my gave-up-on list
If I read it, it´s not going to get more than 3 stars

But that is an awesome autocorrect!

Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 1494 comments LOL....
I know.....

;)

I had to leave it like that.
It gave me the laugh I needed.

Samantha Miller (eletoile) I really have been enjoying the audiobook of this. Generally I stay away from audiobooks but listening to Neil Gaiman's lovely voice narrating his own work is priceless. It gives one the added bonus of hearing the conversations they way he meant you to hear them. Absolutely fabulous.

Made me laugh too.

Price is making me think twice, might try the sample and see how good it is.

Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 1494 comments I'm with you on that Helen.
it is pricey.
I understand it's not long either.
