Persephone Books discussion

Sorry, I got this one on inter-library loan, and I had to bring it back before I made much progress! Does anyone else want to get the discussion going?

I've read it before, and I remember it being a pretty fast read. So I'm guessing you'll be done soon, Susan! :)

I just started last night! I am 50 pages in, and looking forward to discussing when I'm through. :)

I read this a year ago. Loved the ending! I really want to read more Monica Dickens. My favorite line from the book was in the first paragraph. "All her life she had needed the benison of occasional solitude, and she needed it now more than ever."

I keep meaning to grab this one and haven't got around to it yet.

I just finished it this morning.
It was a slow read (also because someone else requested it from the library as I was reading and I had to take a break for them to have it!), but one of these books you want to read slowly to make the most of it. It was beautiful.
I loved the ending, too. I really like how Monica Dickens framed the story with the beginning and the end.
