Kristen | 1179 comments Digger is a story about a wombat. More specifically, it is a story about a particularly no-nonsense wombat who finds herself stuck on the wrong end of a one-way tunnel in a strange land where nonsense seems to be the specialty. Now with the help of a talking statue of a god, an outcast hyena, a shadow-being of indeterminate origin, and an oracular slug she seeks to find out where she is and how to go about getting back to her Warren.

You can start reading here.

Really been wanting to read Digger. Hopefully this will motivate me to move it to the top of the list and actually do so!

Here are a few discussion questions for everyone to think about (Please remember to use spoiler tags as appropriate to your answer, even if the question didn't contain spoilers. Thanks!)

As I haven't read Digger yet they'll all be general. :

1) What do you think of the cast? Who is your most/least favorite character?

2) What did you like best about the comic? Least?
I find these two questions particularly interesting when they are opposite your general opinion (ie what you liked least in a comic you loved and vice versa).

3) How do you like the art style? Does it fit the story being told?

Kristen | 1179 comments I read Digger a few years ago because it won some sort of webcomic award (Best Black and White, I think?). I recall that it was rather good, though I never did catch up with the archives. I really need to pick it up again. It has some really nice art, for one. And it's got a bit of a fantasy thing going on that I didn't expect, but liked.

Only about 20 pages in but I'm already really intrigued. The world mythology seems to be interesting and the pacing and cadence of the dialog is great. The main character has a respectful yet no-nonsense attitude that makes her instantly endearing.

Finished the first volume (first two chapters). Very cool world with a neat magic element. Really just getting going, but has already covered a lot. Great cast so far. My review.
