Alexander Cordell is an absolute must in terms of Industrial Revolution Historical Fiction; there are three in the series and the first one is Rape of the Fair Country

There is a writer of Young Adult Books that is from Wales and inccoeprates Welsh myths in his work, Alan Garner. I read The Owl Service for an English class I was taking, it was an interesting book. I like how he incoprates old myths in modern settings to retill the stories for a modern audience.
The Blue Book of Nebo by Manon Steffan Ros is the 2023 Carnegie Medal winner and is an exquisite little gem of a book. A YA post apocalyptic dystopia, this is translated from the Welsh and sees a mother and son learn how to survive together without any technology, recording their secrets in a shared diary. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ my review
