Bettie Alexander Cordell is an absolute must in terms of Industrial Revolution Historical Fiction; there are three in the series and the first one is Rape of the Fair Country

Silver There is a writer of Young Adult Books that is from Wales and inccoeprates Welsh myths in his work, Alan Garner.

I read The Owl Service for an English class I was taking, it was an interesting book. I like how he incoprates old myths in modern settings to retill the stories for a modern audience.

Rachel (mimbza) | 89 comments The Blue Book of Nebo by Manon Steffan Ros The Blue Book of Nebo by Manon Steffan Ros is the 2023 Carnegie Medal winner and is an exquisite little gem of a book. A YA post apocalyptic dystopia, this is translated from the Welsh and sees a mother and son learn how to survive together without any technology, recording their secrets in a shared diary. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ my review
