I have really gotten into the show "Naked and Afraid". They take 2 strangers (a man and a woman) and strand them naked in the middle of various nowheres. I don't believe they know where they are going until they get there.
Each can bring one item. They don't know what the other will bring until they receive said items on location.
What would your item be?

Shoes are a good idea! You don't realize how important they are til you are stuck in rough terrain without them.
I thought about my knife, but knowing my luck, the guy would choose the same. (Which is fine, but not ideal.)
I giggled at the women who chose pots, but they ended up being the most used item on those episodes.

Mod, huh? Well, that was unexpected. :)
I hope I don't disappoint. :)

message 6: by notyourfriend (new)

notyourfriend (amemori) Yea, well, I don't know if you noticed but the creator of the group left and no mod is actually really active here. So I figured you would like the role.

I actually did notice he deleted his page.
I am sporadic, but hopefully I will do a good job. I've only been a member for about 3 months.

Joe Nobody (joe_nobody) | 4 comments A good knife. With that, I can make/gather/hunt just about anything.

I would bring a large water bottle, so if we found water, we could take some with us.

Audie Murphy All those are great ideas!!

I think matches would be nice to have.

Pebbles | 51 comments I am also thinking a bartering item

Those would come in handy

message 15: by Brad Theado (new)

Brad Theado (readerxx) I'd rather have a hatchet. Makes a good defensive weapon and a hunting item.

message 16: by Amanda (new)

Amanda I'd choose an axe. You can use it for defense, hunting, and making basic shelters.

Feliks (dzerzhinsky) | 32 comments Hand axe for sure.
A myriad of other implements can emanate from just this one item. It can do rough work and fine work. Food, shelter, fire, defense. Covers the four most crucial needs in a way nothing else can.

If its allowed, always choose one with a hollow part in the handle for fishing hooks, matches, etc

Lioness7 | 2 comments I think I would go with the pot. I definitely want to be able to boil water. Now, if they provided a pot like they do in XL, I would go with a knife.

Feliks (dzerzhinsky) | 32 comments re: #11, & #20. I wonder if any merchant manufacturers a lightweight, combination water jug and cooking pot made of metal.
