For those of you who are fans of the Vampire Academy series, Richelle Mead just posted on her blog the description of book number 4, Blood Promise.

Awesome! I honestly can't wait for this book. Books 1 & 2 were great about ending cleanly but book 3 left us with the mother of all cliff hangers, and me in tears (I'm a sap...). Thanks for posting, Kelley Anne!

At first I was just so-so about the series, but the last one really hooked me. Now I can't wait for the next one.

Have you ever read any of her other books? I never have and I was just wondering if they were worth taking a look at or not.

No, not yet. I have Succubus Blues on my bookshelf though, and plan to read it in the near future. I'd also like to try out her Dark Swan series.

I've read both her Succubus series & the first book in her Dark Swan series.

I enjoyed both series. The Succubus series is an adult Urban Fantasy. There's all different types of creatures including demons, angels, vamps. The Dark Swan series is unique to anything else I've read and I'm curious to see where the 2nd book will take it.

I'd recommend both.

I've had Succubus Blues on my shelf for awhile, but for some reason none of the libraries around me have it, and I didn't want to spend the money to buy it. So I'm still waiting lol.

I haven't started the vamp academy books, I keep hearing mixed review.

I love the vamp academy books! It's one of those series that just keeps getting better and better! Actually, after reading the info about book #4 (which you DON'T want to do if you haven't read the first 3) I want to read the others again. I actually have the audiobooks and I have housework to do today. Hmmm...maybe that's what I need to listen to!

I read Succubus Blues. It was pretty good. Definitely worth checking out. It is adult PR or UF

I've read the Vampire Academy books and the Dark Swan book. So far I've liked both. I have not read the Succubus books because, like Jess, my library doesn't own them. They are on my TBR list.

I've been on the edge of my seat for so long wanting to find out what's going on with Dimitri! I'm glad it'll be out this August. That cliffhanger had me going nuts.

So far I like all of Mead's series. The Georgia Kincaid succubus series is my favorite of them though. I have to agree that they are hard to find. It took me months to get my hands on all of them. Totally worth it.

I don't know how Richelle writes three great series! They are all incredible and she gets new books from all three out in the same year. She tweets and FB like crazy so when does she have the time to write.

Well, I gave in and placed an order for Storm Born and I'm determined to work Succubus Blues into one of my challenges next month (I had it last month, but didn't finish my challenge - pah...)

Wow! So I finally got around to reading Succubus Blues. It was fantastic! I'm not really sure why I've waited so long. I think a part of me was worried about reading any other series of Mead's besides her Vamp Academy series because that one is just amazing. Didn't want a mediocre series to ruin my opinion of her. But, this new series didn't disappoint at all! I think I need to run to the store tomorrow to pick up the other 3 in the series!

I've not long finished it too Kelley Anne and I really loved it, I'm looking forward to reading Succubus On Top.

Her Vampire Academy books are one of my favorite YA series. I've been working my way through her Georgina Kinkaid books this month and am loving them as well. So far, she can do no wrong! =)

I haven't read Succubus Blues yet. I keep wanting to but, with the books I want to read this one just kept getting pushed back. I have lately bought most of my books through Paper Back Swap; the wait line for Succubus is is so long I didn't even bother wish listing it. I kind of wish I had though because all I have heard recently are praises for the book. The Vampire Academy was amazing. The cliff hanger made me so mad though. I have been pondering book 4 since I read the latest one!

I have been dying for book 4 too! I cried throughout the entire ending of the last one. Her Succubus series is great. I really recomend them, or atleast the ones that I've read so far! I need to start her other series too.

I need to get them, but I just haven't had the cash. :(

Her books are awesome. Her blog is also very intersting, so I would recomend reading that. Currently the big thing has been her ex-KGB neighbors..

I cried at the end of shadow kiss, it was so sad. And I hate cliff hangers! But Mead can do no wrong so Im glad there was one. I just hope it all turns out good!!

I just had a read through them all Jess and they were very interesting, I can't wait to start the Dark Swan series it sounds very good.

Did she announce that's the day that she's posting it? I have been wondering when she would do it! VERY excited!!!

I've read her VA and Dark Swan series' and I love them! I can't wait for blood promise and thorn queen in august.

I have not read any of her series but want to... Does anyone have a preference on which to read first? I think I have Vampire Academyat home in my stack, but I know she has a couple other series, so any opinions on which should be read first?

If your not into YA that much don't start with VA. I think you should start with the Dark Swan series :D Of her series its my favorite but Georgina Kincaid is really good too :P

I don't mind YA at all Kyle.... well since I already have book one of VA I think I will go ahead and just start with it and then move on to her others!:) But others opinions are still welcome!:)

I love the Vampire Academy series. The 4th book comes out next month, and it's one of my fav series. I haven't read the Dark Swan series yet. I'm currently working on the Georgina Kincaid ones. When I finish them I'll move onto Dark Sawn. Honestly, Mead is such an amazing author. I doubt that you could go wrong with any of her series.

I have been reading the Georgina Kincaid Succubus series with the group each month and I'm really enjoying it, they are great books, I don't think you can go wrong wherever you start.

That is so exciting, when I saw it I thought there was mistake but nope it is free!!! surprises like that are great!

I actually heard Karen Marie Moning's publishers moved the release date of Dreamfever to the week before Blood Promise's release because they didn't want to compete with Mead.

They expect it, blood promise, to hit #1 :D

I can see that, or at least this way they each get their own week instead of making fans pick which book to read first! I know that I've been happy that they weren't released at the same time!!! I mean, most of Mead's fans are probably also Moning fans, so it works out well for us!

I didn't know about that- but I did realize that both Blood Promise and Dreamfever were going to be released around the same time.
But works well for me. I have one week to obsess on Dreamfever, then Blood Promise, then back to Dreamfever. lol.
