You know the Victorian era? Urm, we could something like a rich man wanting to marry a women of lower class but is already promised to someone else? Or maybe just involve Jack the Ripper, crime, detective?
Okay cool, are we doing forbidden romance or crime and mystery with some romance? I don't mind at all :)
Okay, I'll make my character. Name: Johnson Gregory McCullen
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Status: High class
Personality: Johnson isn't one to brag about his lifestyle or even the things he gets for being of high class. He likes to keep his status to himself when meeting new people. He is fun, daring, outgoing, careful, quick witted, charming and very open to people no matter who you are. He's friendly and always up for a chit chat.
History: As soon as Johnson was born his whole life was decided for him, he went to school, has his own land and is promised to someone he has never met. There isn't much to tell, being a boy in the family meant that Johnson was cherished more than his two sisters, Ava and Selene. Johnson is the second eldest, his older brother Dane is married to a women called Maria and has two children, a little son who is two and a new baby girl. Johnson got his land when he was 15, a gift from his mother and father. Ever since then he visits one a week and checks on his workers.

Other:
OHHH! I was just thinking, your character can work on his land and that's how they meet, she could be a new worker!
I'll start. Johnson was very much delighted to hear that he would have new workers on his land, he couldn't wait to introduce himself and reassure them that he was very much a nice boss. He was riding in his carriage when suddenly it came to a halt, and the next minute the driver pulled the door open.
"We are here, Sir".
Johnson got out as soon as he could, fixing his collar and saying," Thank you, Lewis".
Johnson looked at the stranger in front of him. "So", he said," You are the new worker I presume?". He circled her carefully, keeping his eyes on her head and her eyes whenever he passed them. She seemed like a tough thing, she seemed like she could take a lot.
Johnson nodded," You are very polite despite the fact that you will be working long hours". Johnson turned to face her and could tell exactly what she was thinking, he smiled slightly and said," You think me as a cold hearted rich man who does not give a damn about his workers? You are very much wrong".
Johnson laughed. "There's no need to be afraid, you may speak freely. My other workers have also thought the same". Suddenly another worker Louisa came in, a black worker,"Oh Sir, sorry I didn't know you were with the new girl in here". Johnson smiled and said,"It's fine, Louisa, why don't you come here and tell this lady what you thought of me when you first came".
Louisa came trotting to Johnsons side and laughed chirpily," Oh why, I thought the boss man was a spoilt, stuck up rich white man".
Johnson laughed and looked to the new girl,"You see. Anyway, what is your name?".
Johnson dismissed the fact that she was a Parker, he had heard about them. But it seemed like she didnt need to be reminded of her surname and where she came from. "Nice to meet you, Lovella", Johnson said, bowing his head slightly and stepping forward to take her hand and kiss it softly.
He looked to her and said," You will be working with Louisa, you will be picking the crops from the plants".
Johnson smiled softly at Lovella and then nodded to Louisa," Louisa, you may take Ms Parker to work now". He looked back at Lovella and said," I will check on you later and tell let you know when you get your break". He bowed his head and said," Ladies", then escorted himself out. Louisa looked at Lovella and grinned," Follow me, doll ".
Johnson spent hours in his study reading, there wasnt much to do except sort through papers and get the workers money. That was already done thanks to a few of his other workers, to be honest he was quite grateful to them. He checked the time and realised that it has only been an hour.
Johnson read and read, until it was time to check on the new workers. He put his book on his desk and walked out, his hands in his pockets and his shirt sleeves rolled up. He walked out to the fields and saw his worker smiling but also doing work.
"Alright everyone! It's break time!", he shouted," There's lunch in the main hall". He looked at Lovella and said,"Come".
Johnson watched his workers go, they had worked hard, he could tell. He was not one of those high class men who treated his workers disrespectfully. He looked at Lovella and smiled softly," How is it going? Is it subtle enough for you to handle?". He shoved his hands in his pockets and looked over Lovella, realising that she was beautiful.
Johnson nodded and smiled," Good".He looked over Lovella and felt that she was nervous which made him smile even more," Let me take you to the dinning hall, there's us plenty of food and drinks for you". He looked her in the eyes and nodded his head in another direction for her to come. He started to walk away from the field.
Johnson stared in with a smile at his workers sat on one long table, the table had been filled with refreshments and food. He looked over at Lovella and chuckled slightly," I'm not a horrible man, my Lady. I like to cherish and reward my workers for their efforts and hard work". He stuck out his hand for her to place her hand in his.
Johnson smiled at her genuinely. He took her hand and led her to the seat that was next to his, he was at the head of the table and then there was a space beside him. Louisa was sitting next to the space also, she looked at Lovella and smiled," Come sit next to me, hun". Johnson sat down in his place and then said loudly," Everyone, you may begin eating".
Johnson was glad to see that everyone was hungry, because his maids had put out a lot of food for everyone to eat. But that was what he had asked of them anyway. He smiled and ate alongside the workers, he drank and laughed at his other boys. He looked over at Lovella and winked reassuringly.
Johnson held up his cup of wine and said," Cheers everyone! Do not get too drunk". Some people smiled some people laughed. He looked over at Lovella and smiled," My lady", he tapped his cup softly to hers and drank.
The evening went on and the sun went down as the night emerged and the moon arose. Everyone was tired, although it was an eventful and lovely evening, many people had retired to the worker chambers. He stood up and looked down at Lovella and asked," Care to take a walk with me, miss?".
He led Lovella out of the hall and out to the gardens, he walked with his hands behind his back. "So, tell me about yourself, do you have any siblings?", he stated. He looked around at the garden and plants and then looked at Lovella softly.
Johnson smiled," Only four?". He laughed and said," You're quite lucky, I have five siblings. I have three sisters and two brothers. My parents did not have a problem with having numerous amounts of children". He looked aside to her and gave her a jokey smile.
"Oh no, I'm the second youngest. Thank god I didn't have to", he teased her. He knew she must have looked after her siblings, which must have been hard for her. Growing up wasnt being a child it was being a parent, for her at least.
"Why?", he asked softly. He hoped he wasn't pressuring her or making her feel like she needed to tell him everything about her. It wasnt like that, he simply wanted to know what her life was like and the type of person she was.
Johnson stopped walking as soon as he noticed that she wasnt walking anymore. He looked behind him to see her looking sad. She explained everything and he could see how much pain it had caused her. Died in childbirth. "I know that saying sorry will not help or solve anything, so I will merely tell you that you do not need such pain". He didnt want to tell her anything false, like: it will be okay, everything's fine, you're a strong girl.
Johnson couldn't help but to smile and give Lovella a cocky smirk," Oh yes", he said. He continued to walk with her and with a smile on his face," I hope you enjoyed your meal also, and I hope you enjoy your stay here". He looked aside to her and looked over he features, she was a very lovely women.
"Lovella, I didn't mean stay here forever, you can go somewhere else, just as long as you work", Johnson said softly. He looked at her and smiled genuinely, she didnt have to stay, it was only a option.
Johnson stared at her for a second, feeling sorry for her, even though he knew she would probably despise him for that. He walked with her and said," I admire you for that". He truly did. It must be hard, but she still put up with it.
Johnson looked at her. "Because you are strong, you are putting your own happiness at risk because of your siblings. I've never met someone less selfish than you, I could never have the heart to do as you do".
Johnson gave her one bow of the head and a lovely smile. Then he sighed and said," No, in fact I've never met her. But she seems just as arrogant, naive, stuck up, self centred and vein just like the rest of the rich girls". He looked aside to Lovella and gave her a wicked little smirk. He then looked down at the ground and said," I have to marry her for her riches and status, nothing more and nothing less".
"Yes, completely unfair", he agreed. He looked at the ground and murmured," But there is nothing I can do to stop what has been done. I am promised to her already". He was upset at the fact that his parents had gone ahead with it without even asking him. So now his life was this.
"There's no way anyone may help, but I appreciate it. Thank you, Lovella", he smiled. He suddenly came up to a carriage and said," If you wish to go to your home you may, this carriage will take you where you want. But feel welcome to stay here whenever you want". He smiled at Lovella and then took her hand, he kissed it softly and bowed his head.
Johnson was shocked to hear that she would stay," You will?", he asked. He still had her hand in his and he could see the blush on her cheeks, which he found adorable. He looked at Lovella and said," You will still work here, even if you go home or even if you stay".
Jonathan bowed his head and agreed," Of course, my lady, they are welcome to visit whenever they please". He would not bound Lovella from seeing her siblings, that would be a harsh and cruel thing to do. He was not that kind of man. He understood that she loved her siblings, he loved that fact.
"You are very welcome, Lovella. It is the least I can do", Johnson said softly. He did not mind catering to his workers, he was grateful to them, because without them he would have no business.
He looked at Lovella and said," Shall I show you to your chambers?".
Johnson blushed slightly in embarrassment," It's temporary, there isn't enough space in the ladies courters, so I had to place some women in the chambers. You are one of them". Sadly, chambers couldn't be a permanent placement, but the courters were still very spacious and comforting.
"What's on your mind, Lovella?", Johnson asked. He felt that Lovella was thinking about in depth things, things that may have been unnecessary. But maybe she just had a lot to deal with, the workers usually did. That's why most of them left their home towns and came to work down here. "I feel like your mind is pondering on things it should not be", he stated softly.
Johnson could tell that she was not comfortable expressing her emotions or thoughts yet. "I'm sorry, dear lady. I should not have asked, it is not my place", he said softly. He looked to her with a small, reassuring smile, hoping that he had not pushed his luck or his authority.
((Sorry!))
Johnson looked to her and shock was on his face. He had never quote observed her face or her facial structure. Now, it captures his complete attention. He looked to her with eyes widened slightly, " I-It is fine, do not worry yourself with such things. You are not bothersome".
Johnson smiled to himself, he was asked this question frequently. He looked at Lovella and said genuinely," Being horrible is not me, nor would I want to be treated rudely if I was a worker. My workers already do so much for me, without them my work would not exist. The least I can do is be friendly and give them what they deserve. I do not treat my coloured worker or white workers differently either, we are all just people. Are we not?".
Johnson smiled and placed his hand behind his back, he nodded along to her words simply because they were true. No one should be treated differently, he took in 'slaves' every year because he hated seeing them face such cruel conditions. He took in some children also. "Dear Lovella, I have not met anyone quite like you", Johnson smiled. He faced her and gave her a warm grin.
Johnson stood there with a gentle smile on his face," And for that I am glad". He did not like liars nor cowards. He looked at Lovella and would not mind if this night lasted longer than his lifetime. He looked away from Lovella and looked to the cottage that his workers lived," This is it".
(Sorry!)Johnson smiled at her softly and then nodded, but he opened his mouth to say something and spoke," Lovella, if you are uncomfortable or you do not feel content, please let me know so that I am to do something about it".
He was being especially nice to her, why? He had found her appearance and her opinions so beautiful and lovely. But he was not able to think like that, he had been promised to someone and society would not accept it.
He was in the higher class, he had all these typical things to do.
He smiled at her once more and said," Goodnight Lovella, and sweet dreams". Then he turned to walk away, not giving another glance back.
Johnson was sat at his little cottage near the plantation, he took in all the fresh air and the sun that shown down on him. He liked how this felt. Non of the workers were awake, which he didn't mind because it wasn't that late. It was just turning 8 o'clock, they knew when to get up, he didn't need to awake them.
((Woops!)) Johnson usually woke up early, he never liked sleeping until late, he felt as though it was a waste of time. He got up, washed and got dressed; wearing his suit and rolling up his sleeves.
He had not had breakfast, he did not feel hungry. He went to the plantation fields to look around at his products.
((Sorry to interrupt, but Niran, could you send me a friend request, my other profile got deleted))
