I'm revamping the old thread that combined awesomely good with awesomely bad book covers [found here], to give the truly bad ones a thread of their own!

Here's one from my collection I haven't posted before..

I've linked to someone else's picture, since their copy is clearly in better condition than mine.
I don't know which bit I like more - the shirtless, side-burned, affro-rockin' guy, or the Munch-inspired screaming sky. No wait - it's the vomit-inducing colour palette.

..and this one. I like that they didn't aim too high.

It's probably pretty chilling. But they don't want you to get your hopes up.

Heehee! Some of those are great. I myself have raided a few library sales in my day. My best find: A History of the Handkerchief. I'll have to post some pics at some point. It's just a pity the dust jacket is missing.

Hey, that guy on the Blood Red Game cover looks like me, around the time I read it…

I don't know whether this one is fabulously bad or horribly good, but it caught my eye.

This one also stood out.

Oh my! I'll have to post some of my vintage-misogyny books when I get chance! (Yes, I do have that as a shelf..)
