Sam sat on a bench in the park, watching all the parents play with their children. She wondered if the government would ever stop there breeding system, but new that wouldn't happen for a long time.
She watched as the numbers over everyone's heads counted down their lives, she couldn't help but wonder how long she had.

Sam had only been gone two days, and she already felt free and missed the girls she grew up with.
Legacy was going for a jog through the park, maybe it wasn't the wisest thing to do; but she had always been a bit of a risk taker. Ransom would kill her if he knew she was out alone, she just shrugged that thought off though. As she passed the only other person in the park she caught his thoughts-- well her thoughts actually. It seemed the guy was a girl in disguise.
The one thing that Legacy disliked the most about her talent was that she had a hard time separating people's thoughts from their actual words. "Excuse me?" Legacy turned towards the girl her face was full of amusement.
Legacy crossed her arms and arched a brow as the girl, who was dressed like a boy, came closer to her. "Yes, you did...I heard you say something."
Sam shook her head slowly, she tried her best to slouch and ignore all the things she was thought to do when she was younger, "I didn't say a word, you must be mistaken."
Sam's body shifted as she hear the breeding buzzer go off at the breeding facility, "I have to go.." she said as she took up off the bench and begun to walk away, "I have a friend who needs me.
Sam decided to show the girls around town the next morning. She got dressed in her guy cloths and led them to the park.
When they got to a part of the park that seamed to have a little amount of people Olli bursts out in laughter, "you look funnier out here then you did when you visited me," tears from laughing to hard streamed down her right cheek.
Kilo giggled softly, but wasn't willing to make Sam mad.

Sam narrowed his eyes on Terry, "shut up!" She but out.
Olli tried to hold back her laughter, but it was hard for her; she was use to seeing Sam in frilly shirts and shorts, not a baggy jacket with a shady hat and jeans that are two sizes to big.

"Oh come on you look handsome. I'm sure some girl with love you one day." Terry laughed ducking when Sam swung at her.
Terry laughed so hard her stomach cramped,"Come on Sam it was funny." Seeing Sam somber expression.
Sam rolled her eyes, "maybe to you, to me its a way of survival," she snapped lightly.
Olli bit her lip, feeling guilty, "Sorry Sam, but.."
Sam lifted her hand, her palm facing Olli, "It doesn't matter, just enjoy the park."
Kilo didn't have to be told twice, she ran off and played on a swing set.

Kilo giggled, "fun is my middle name," she said with a grin. She looked over at Olli and frowned at the sight of the purple pill passing her lips, "do you think she actually likes thous pills?" She asked, then she looked at Olli's stomach and bit her lip at how big it had gotten over night.
Kilo hugged herself, "do you think we would have been like that?" She asked thinking about how good it felt, and how meany babies they were expected to have.
"Maybe,"Terry said getting on the swing. Looking at the older girls,"Sam took them too, but she didn't like them. So maybe we won't either."
"But doesn't Sam still have her powers?" Kilo asked, remembering Terry and Sam were talking about it, "so she hasn't had a baby.. Maybe that has something to do with the addiction?" She bit her lip, feeling unsure for the first time.
Terry nodded swinging higher,"Maybe, Olli said it helped her with her stomach pains." She looked down at Kilo,"So it could only work if their pregnant."
Kilo nodded slowly, "perhaps.." She didn't take her eyes off Olli and her swollen stomach, "do you think she'll have the baby before they find us?" She asked, knowing Olli loved her baby.
Kilo's head turned to Terry so fast she would have expected to get whiplash, "why not!?" She asked in shock.
Olli and Sam stayed on the bench. Olli ran her hand over her stomach and talked softly to the baby then would smile when she felt it move. Sam rolled her eyes at her friend's strange obsession with the thing growing inside her.

Terry jumped down,"Look, I just afraid of babies. I mean the only real adult here is Sam and she's not even nice. I not saying i want it born in the faculty...but"Terry rubbed her head trying to put her feeling into words. Which wasn't easier for her.
A worried look came over Kilo, "but... It will be put in the day care.. It will have a tracker.. And it will wonder who it's mother was.. And never find out.." Kilo's chest tightened when she thought about all the times she would lay in her bed and wonder what her mom was like; she had even drawn a picture of what her mom would look like and had tucked it away in her dresser so she could say goodnight and good morning to it every day.
Terry frowned seeing Kilo's thoughts. She reached in her pocket and pulled out the charm bracelet with only a heart on it and showed it to Kilo,"That was my mother's. I wasn't born here, but I still ended up at day care," Terry looked off,"That bracelet is proof that this stupid city always wins." Angry Terry kicked a metal trash can.
Tears filled Kilo's eyes, "some day it could all be better... I hear that in twenty years the day care will shut down and all babies with be put in adoption homes.." She smiled at the thought of the cycle ending.
Terry sat on ground and said sadly,"Olli's kid can't wait twenty years. It'll probably be here in a matter of weeks, by Olli's size."
Kilo sighed, "I know.."
Sam watched Olli, "it's just another baby.." She tried reminding her.
Olli shook her head, "it's my baby."
"They all were..." Sam corrects her
Olli shook her head, "no, they were the facility's, this one feels different.."
Sam rolled her eyes.

Terry drew lazy circles in the ground, eavesdropping on Sam and Olli. Why can't Sam just let Olli be happy? Terry thought.
Olli ran a finger along her stomach for a few moments before she felt a slight twitch of movement, she wondered why she never did this before with her other babies.
Kilo watched Olli and smiled, she moved from her swing to the sand and started building a castle.
Olli looked up at Terry and Kilo and saw Kilo making a hill of sand and assumed she was attempting at a castle. She got up from the bench and walked over to help.
Kilo smiled as Olli came to sit with her and help, she wondered if her mother was anything like Olli; she hoped he was.

Terry smiled at Kilo and Olli.Olli is a good mother
She laid down on the grass started to dream about what happen to her parents. Did they care and just deserted her here?Where they caught? What did they look like? It was the same questions she asked herself each day, and never had any answers for.

Sam came to sit with Terry, "what are you thinking about?" She asked as she watched Olli smile and play and laugh with someone other then her.
Sam nodded slowly, "I see," she looked down at the girl, "and how's that working out for you?" She asked in a slightly bitter tone; she was full of jealousy, Olli was having fun with someone other then Sam and Sam didn't like it.
Sam rolled her eyes, "stay out of my head," she demanded. She remembered how nice she was before she got out, she shivered with disgust at how week she was.
Sam rolled her eyes, "stop!" She demanded.
Olli turned out to be a terrible sand castle builder, but so was Kilo; they ended up making a sand mountain.
Kilo giggled, "it's beautiful!"
Olli kissed the top of Kilos head softly, "indeed it is," she giggled too.
They stared digging threw the hill saying things like "this can be the door and the main hall" and "this is a bedroom and window!". Not long after they just had three piles of sand.

"Sorry,"Terry mumbled. She closed her eyes and was silent. She could hear Kilo and Olli's laughter.
Sam sighed, "no, I'm sorry, you can't stop what you are.." She whispered softly as she watched Olli's time count down 'five years now... That's better then yesterday..' she thought, her chest tightening.
Sam cupped her face in her hands and sighed. She did some mental age math and new Olli would never make it out of the breeding facility. She winded if that boy could help her with saving Olli.
