Just a reminder that "Gift from the Sea" by Anne Morrow
Lindbergh will be our August read, discussion on September 1. It's a tiny book, and only 140 pages long so should be something we should be able to complete.

Thanks for the reminder, Carol! I added it to the "currently reading" shelf for the group.

I have my first vacation in 2 years coming up, and I'm hell-bent on reading only what I reaaaaallly want to read on that trip, so I think I'm going to let this one pass, but I'll get the discussion folder set up before I leave.

Have a wonderful vacation. Been awhile since I've been on one, so sounds fun to me!!! How are your little ones! Hope they are doing well.

Cheryl | 134 comments I READ THIS BOOK YEARS AGO, AND I'LL BE DARNED IF I CAN REMEMBER IT. WAS IT PUBLISHED IN THE '60'S? IF SO, THAT'S WHY I CAN'T REMEMBER IT. AS THEY SAY, IF YOU REMEMBER THE '60'S, YOU WEREN'T THERE…

Yes, it was written by Anne Morrow Lindbergh. It is so peaceful and calming and with beautiful images. It was written a long time ago. The copy I have is an older one, I think there have been two or three versions since this one, about 130 pages.

Diana S I love this book! I'm looking forward to re-reading it again! :)

If we like this one, maybe we'll want to read:

The Aviator's Wife by Melanie Benjamin The Aviator's Wife by Melanie Benjamin ,sometime in the future. It's about Anne Morrow Lindbergh.

Cheryl, you asked what year. The first version was in 1955, then there was a 20 year edition, and I checked out a 50th anniversary edition (audio) while I was in the library just to see and "hear" the difference.

Was looking at your reading list, and boy, you are majorly getting caught up. I'm very impressed!!!
