ijust want to make sure! Are you talking about the first or second book in the series?

Chapter 2, Brennan is telling the tale of a girl the same time as his grandmother. She would walk to the ice and then tell the elders what she had seen. Then he describes how she died. (Don't know if I should say more for spoilers or not)

I'm reading Cold Fire. The second book in the series, hope I'm in the right thread. I realize August is almost over, but just started.

Actually I read through the first book quickly. Loved it. Trying to savor this one a bit more.

Ya I personally love the unique ice world it's a very intriguing setting and i think cat is a fascinating main character and her relationship with bee is big part of the books! The only issue with the first book was the side characters lacked development! We're you surprised with the ending of book 1 with camjata showing up!

Yes, hopefully some of our other characters will be more fleshed out in this book. But I wasn't really surprised by Camjiata's arrival in the story. Seemed he had to show up with the unrest that was happening

It's not that he showed but how he showed up that had me a little surprised!
